batting stocks nationwide are the lowest i can remember, no one seems capable of seizing the opportunity that is there fr the taking, blokes like copeland and krejza have scored tons but not top order batsmen anywhere, thats what it seems anyway

The two most promising candidates (Doolan and Ferguson) are currently not out at lunch. Hopefully they go on and score big centuries. You're right, no batsman are seizing their opportunities. The amazing depth we had for twenty years has well and truly disappeared.

There was plenty of room for boof. Best batsmen (or best 3) in Australia in his prime (post Waugh era). Better than langer, martyn, hussey, symonds, katich etc

What I remember most about siddons was always losing his wicket by playing a dumb shot, similar to Cosgrove. Always hitting it in the air when the shot isnt there or isnt needed.
