I'm not bagging your comment, but who would you define as 'genuine metal'?

Hadn't really thought about a wishlist but -

Down
Megadeth
Black Label Society
Grand Magus
Texas Hippie Coalition
Gojira
Kill Devil Hill
Nevermore
Overkill
Sevendust
Shadows Fall
Clutch

Would be a few just off the top of my head (I know some were here 2 years ago now but meh...bring em back).

Having now been to SW in Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth, I can say Adelaide's SW is 10x better than the other two. Better lay outs, better facilities and you aren't stuck in a little cage a mile from the stage if you want a drink here. Perth is a lot better than Brisbanes though.

I was shattered. The sound issues they were having broke my heart ! I know Adelaide sound guru Frank Castel was backstage shaking his head at the Sevendust sound tech not paying any attention.

next year it would be good to get Newstead out here, first EP is really good and would pull a decent crowd just based on who is in the band

That EP was awesome. I didn't realise that Jason is such a good frontman.

changes to council/state govt laws about putting on outdoor events and festivals, AJ Maddah is saying that those laws as they currently are, wouldn't allow Soundwave to go to Perth next year.

That sucks, does that mean the same for ther BDO too? If so, Perth isn't going to have much festival love next year...

Seems they want to sell off a big chunk of Claremont Showgrounds to developers. Not sure what it would mean for the very grungy looking Claremont footy club oval.
