Yes Gatto played but had little impact on the game.

Well ill be the first to say, how wrong was i??? Really thought blackwood were going to take it up to Lofty! Sends a big message to the rest of the competition. They have definitely got over any premiership hangover!

Bridgewater's recruits were pretty ordinary in the loss to Ironbank, was at the game and besides ten minutes of o.k football in the second quarter, they just didn't look like ever presenting a challenge. The young talent of Ironbank mixed in with some exciting recruits makes for a pretty strong outfit. This week's clash against Uraidla is shaping up as a measuring stick and will show how far this team has come!

C.Naughton- 11 goals from two wet games. Says something about the talent of this bloke! I'd say he'd be a shoe in for Hills representative selection!

LOL...what's old Owie's problem this time? Didn't see this week's Budget - did someone write something nasty about him, or did they question the credibility of the letters in the Budget?

No doubt Monica from Milang or Oliver Dumphrey or one of the other dozen psuedonyms that all come from the same pen, will have plenty to say about it in next week's edition...will the phrase "The President's dog" get a run also?

Was it just me or were other people surprised to see Nick Byrne in the best players for Blackwood saturday. Not bagging the kid as he has played some good footy.

Great to see David Stevens keep John Allen no score

Maccy were certainly up against it against Kersbrook on Saturday and I think we were able to hold the James' to some degree but others stepped up to take control of the game (Magpie in '80's, its a son or nephew of the Pearces, not Kym, Rick or Daryl).
You can see that Brett and Roger certainly haven't lost their class and you knew everytime Brett got a hold of it that he was going to hit a team mate.
A personal highlight for me for the day was getting paid out from the sidelines during the A grade about my haircut which I found quite amusing 'cos coming from them, that's like being called a drug addict by Robert Downey Jr.

Didn't see Saturday's Budget either. Can anyone enlighten us re the content of page 3? No-one's allowed to question the credibility of letters in the Budget P.P. I've written many letters doing just that and have signed them with my correct name, as have lots of other people I know. They are never printed. The Budget isn't good publicity for the HFL and all the rubbish letters therein demonstrate the Buffoonary behind the scenes. My next letter will be to the Press Council - an effective avenue to clean up this crap! I've seen publications from other leagues and all are professional, informative and promote genuine comment from their readers.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

There were worse comments coming from behind the goals directed at the James Bros., than the comments at your haircut (seriously though, it ain't that flash). Give ya credit though, Maccy put up a good effort to hold to 10 goal loss and if they play like that for the remainder of the year, they may salvage some big scalps.

Bradley Pearce is Kym Pearce's youngest son at 23.

rapper, did byrne seriously get in the best, ha, that is a joke the smoker barely got 10 posies. DK destroyed jon allen. shows the difference between playing birdwood and kicking a bag and then coming up against the mighty lebonese tagger.

good work goes out to naughto gun player, was keen as to get him to the devs at the start of the yr but think he was just pullin my leg. doesnt suprise me that he dominated, should play at a higher level IMO.

Good call on Echunga - perhaps a little hasty there. Can anyone tell me WTF has happened at Cally??? They WERE competitive against us but seem to have really fallen away last 2 weeks - players left, injuries....?

Ah yes, where's my pal Joe Scuderi who knows SFA about Hills Football. Here's a list of his big calls

- Maccy to make Top 4
- Maccy to upset Kersbrook last Saturday
- Kersbrook givin $$ to R.James

And did you get all the $$$ men and petrol money boys to give their money back to D.Wallace Satday night?? You should have, after losing to a bunch of Amateurs albeit very good ones.

well for starters boss man they were not flogged they were competitive all day and if you read what i have written i said we were top 4 full strength we are still without 5 a grade players and i think you will find have gotten closer then anyone else to kersbrook and cougar if you were at the game you would have to agree we were competitive and as for the money thing obviously i dont play there so i can not say for 100% that they are on big bucks and i dont know your position either to know if you would know or not but dont be naive and always believe what you are told because there is such thing as " under the table "

oh yeah boss man how is the club you are from going ???????????????????
