House big brother location, host conventions for new Facebook users, buy overseas junk bonds, auditions for x factor and whatever else reality show is on ATM. The possibilities are endless.
Basically Any revenue stream available that Doesnt need $3 mill a year in top up funds to stay alive would of been beneficial.
Or we can keep chasing this "golden rainbow of afl revenue" Which will deliver more funds to our local clubs, junior footballing
programme than we have ever seen before.
As stated 5 years ago . It's not going to happen. Can't believe your still trying the "revenue" smoke and mirrors claim.I Would of saved the state about $600-$700 mill aswell.

No, I just wanted your interpretation of it.

It's quite rare you're wrong. I wish I'd known you 5 years ago.....

We could of saved safooty Mr Boon. BTW I did share my Overview of pafc/sanfl financial with port fans 5 years ago but they were to quick to try and start long memory/port adealaide hater theories. Convinced that revenue = profit.

They've now repented claiming "we were simply the best port Adelaide supporters in the world and refuse to face reality" as some sort of justification.

I'm pleased that you still think you're above all that nonsense Mr Boon.

was speaking to some sanfl figures on the weekend and they are adamant crows & power to have reserves teams in sanfl comp in 2-3 years time.
selling off of the licenses might be the start of this next step...........maybe.
i really dont know if this would be a good or bad thing.
of course you probably wouldnt have an eleven team comp though.

Likewise, I remain adamant that I will never - never - attend any SANFL fixture involving an AFL Reserves team.

Hopefully enough of you have the fortitude to commit to a similar promise, and hopefully the powerbrokers notice this.

AFL Reserves will happen in 2014 so this is the crunch year, hope the Crows and Port join the AFL reserves comp and leave us alone.

I know, and that thought scares me. I couldn't imagine following another side.

I know that if AFL Reserves gets off the ground with the Crows and Power in tow, that will weaken the stanard of the SANFL even more. It's a sad fact of life, but the SANFL is no longer the great league it once was.

Sadly I don't think they would be doing this for the few of us diehard SANFL patriots...they'll likely get more than enough Cows and Phwooaar! supporters through the gates to cover any of us making the ultimate sacrifice. No doubt the same people who, after having attended Glenelg or Unley Oval for the first time in 2 decades, will be smugly satisfied that they're supporting 'grass roots' footy

Am in the same boat there. I will simply stop going to SANFL and so will many Magpie fans who are there every week. There will be many who will still go and some more will start attending but how long will that last when they are only watching a reserves side. Just put them in our reserves if they have to enter and move the U18's to before the league games or have more tripple headers with ressie, 18s then league after the 16's comp finishes.

I'd follow my team if they played the NT, Quenbeyan, Labrador, Melbourne, Collingwood, Hawthorn or any team. I'm loyal to my club.

They can even take their licences with them for the right price .

Then this failed experiment will finally be over for the sanfl

Today’s back page could be a sign that Sturt are already thinking about heading to crow land.

So we could have Crows propping up Sturt, Power to Prop up Port (officially)
Who could be the team that’s let go…………..if any.
Interesting times ahead for the SANFL but more importantly the followers / supporters of our state game.

So Sturt become Adelaide Football Club or do they continue as Sturt but with all the Crows reserve players ?
Do Sturt continue to develop juniors and field their reserves and under age teams ?
This assumes the Crows and Port field teams in the SANFL as reserves..... unlikely I think.
