UNDERthePACK wrote:The A1 ladder is looking interesting with lots of different scenarios possible this weekend:

Sandy, GC and Ango all will finish 1,2 and 3 but the order could change. All three you would back this week so points will play a major part but all three do play sides that are capable of upsets which could cost a team a top two finish.
Freeling seem to have secured 4th spot but play Sandy (who are in good form)this game, GV play Light Pass and a big win from them and Freeling lose to sandy could see a change but with Jimmy Vandy's wedding this week may deplete the bulls line up, still good enough to win but maybe not getting the points they would need to jump Freeling for 4th spot.
GV looks as it has done enough to avoid relegation no matter of result this week which brings it back to a 3 horse race to avoid relegation. Kapunda seems to have enough points ahead of Nuri and LP and will be hoping that at least one of those two teams don't cause upsets this game. Nuri play Ango with top and bottom of the ladder on the line depending on other reults.

We can't say that this round of cricket isn't set up for an exciting finish to the minor round. I dare say a few phone texts messages will be sent around from 6pm Saturday

Rumours abound that SOS Busch, Dick Mc & "Old Father Time" Garry Davis will be making appearances for GV this week due to Jimmy's nuptials. Bad time to get married Jimmy (some will ask however, "is there ever a good time to get married"?).

Days played

magpieeagle wrote:if A2s play in semi final the same day as A5s can any player play A5s on that day?

Given they are your only grades, then yes

magpieeagle wrote:due to all the forfeits agaisnt us this yr in 5s,the players that we named for those games are they counted as games played?

Yes they are counted so long as they were named. Also remember its weeks played, not games.

Ango made 160 and Nuri are 2/50. Game in the balance, early wickets and Angi could run through Nuri or if Nuri can steady for another 30 or 40 then should put them in the box seat.
Also heard light pass made 250 odd against Gilbert valley and in the other game sandy made 158 and Freeling are 1/30

Were 6 for about 100 when I last heard but see they recovered slightly.
Freeling will polish off the remaining runs comfortably next week id imagine.
Looking like Nuri could suprise and pull off a last day miracle to survive, with LP looking the goods it appears Kapunda are in great danger, reckon Centrals will knock them over next week and claim the minor premiership

Tough day at the office for Sandy Creek A3s. All out for 11 batting first and beaten outright in a day. They must have been a few players short surely??

Judging my mycricket it appears they only had 8 players but 11 is still fairly poor.
Noticed a couple of forfeits in lower grades this week so with that being their lowest grade good on them for making the hike up to Saddleworth, they could have easily decided it was too hard and pulled the pin. Would be fairly demoralising for the guys that made the trip though.
