Idiot mayor in charge of Perth

Roy Lazenby @bondlazenby
Why can't you put onPuscifer in Perth?

AJ @iamnotshouting
Also, your douchey Government is trying to cut down your show. If anything, we may have lose bands rather than gain them.

http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/news/local/34995/Soundwave-releases-final-timetables

Claremont mayor Jock Barker has campaigned against festivals such as Soundwave and Big Day Out using the local showgrounds, claiming that the promoters have “no respect for the residents, nor for council approvals and sound levels”. The council has claimed that Soundwave has repeatedly breached the 72 decibel limit in 2012 and had been “regularly monitored at more than 80 decibels”.

When FL contacted the mayor for comment last year he declined to be interviewed but sent us a statement declaring that the council is “only concerned with two or three specific concerts who flout the approved sound levels, want to use the Monday of long weekends, whose language is suitable for the gutter, and whose patrons continuously bring appalling antisocial and criminal behaviour into a residential area”.

The temporary fences were already up at Bonython Park yesterday, getting excited. :D :D

Going to see Hilltop Hoods/Drapht at Clipsal on Friday then Soundwave on Saturday, going to be a big weekend.

AJ well within his rights to pursue his money.

I'd think the shoe on the other foot and Blink/Travis would want their cash.

What? Concert goers are the ones asking for their money back. He is saying no refunds as he has already paid the money to blink 182 (way too much by the way).

I saw that he was asking Blink for $1.5m of the $5m back ( $1.5 to each band member and $500k to manager I assume )

I didnt hit that link, but I had read about what I just detailed above. Two different tales to one story.

There will be plenty more Soundwaves. It will be interesting with the return of the Warped Festival in Australia how AJ manages which medium size bands play which festival.

As for the map, stage three is in a strange location if you ask me. It will be a fair walk plus I'm not sure how you avoid the main stage crowd to get there.

Yeah, as Booney said, odd layout.

Although I like it for the fact the stages 1 and 2 are reasonably close to each other and it won't be a huge hike between the two.

Just been looking at the setlists from Soundwave Sydney on www.setlist.fm to give an idea of what songs bands are going to play on Saturday, bit a spoiler I know but I can't help myself . If Blink, The Offspring, Flogging Molly, Sum 41 and Metallica play the similar sets to the ones they did in Sydney and Brisbane it's going to be epic. :D

Those Metallica setlists are pretty good.
Blackened is their best live song. Always goes off.
