Quickest i faced were

Glenn North (accuracy and pace can kill)
Dwayne Jones (he 7ft me 4ft scary)
Troy Bennie (Willaston played one year was a football ruckmen, very similar to Johnnsy)
Jason Mobbs (used to try and kill us when we were 15yo in the nets at training, wasnt fun)
Aaron Bevis (probably the quickest)
Mark Garrard (unusual action plus decent pace meant u always were wary)
Kenny McConnell (silent killer, beautiful action and run up, nice bloke then would kill)
Trevor Bailey (use to come out to training sessions a fair bit at EP, off 3 steps in his stubbies was real scary)
Combination of Ben Moore, Andy Carmen, Daniel Oliver (while not the quickest having 3 off them bowl 30 overs at you in a row was an extreme challenge.)

Others i have heard that were incredibly quick but i never faced in their prime

Col Rundle
Ray Walloschek
Steve Warren

Rosies are too old to worry about that stuff, now if Gene Pitney or Patsy Cline decided to visit Adelaide over the next couple of weeks we may have to consider a forfeit.

And before Graham jumps on me yes I realise Pitney is dead.

Top two playing off though in what will probably be the preview to the Grand Final.

Anyone can take the flag this year. CU on their day can turn it on. SW and RC have proven they have big time players. Going to be one of the closest finals serious for a long time.

Chuck in the Hayes brothers from ATCO as well

Lavo was sharp...

Graham Hayes was quick, not Gordy so much.

Verity from OTH was swift too.

I faced him a few times in the late 90's. He could get them moving, loved bowling the short ball aswell IIRC.

Anthony was quick and could bowl for long spells and maintain the pace, he had Spurling up the other end who I found quicker though.

Oz, Gawler Centrals and SW had some great battles in the late 80's - early 90's.......the days when it was played hard and fast both on and off the ground....lol

JC was always a fav, Ace batting with his jumper on in 40c was interesting....and Super was always good value (and a great bloke).
