Sounds like a Billy Joel song.

yeah, played to the tune. It's still Rock and Roll to me,

"It doesn't matter if the team ain't winning,
I only go along for the beer,
I wondered why the players have no women,
Is it because they're all a little bit queer" :D ;)

Just a word of warning to Eagles fans and also Adelaide United fans:

THE Adelaide 36ers have removed all branding of major sponsor Unleash Solar after talks to secure money owed to the club failed.

Adelaide has removed Unleash Solar from the players' uniforms and its home court ahead of tomorrow night's match against Wollongong Hawks.

Adelaide chief executive Leanne Grantham would not reveal how much money the club was owed but said the matter was with its solicitors.

"The club is owed sponsorship money by Unleash Solar and unfortunately we've had some protracted negotiations that haven't been resolved," Grantham told The Advertiser.

"Negotiations with Unleash Solar have been ongoing and certainly have not been resolved."

The 36ers' uniforms for tomorrow night's match have been patched over to include the club's website.

Unleash Solar is in its second-year as a major partner of the NBL club, and also sponsors A-League club Adelaide United and SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens.

If I were the Eagles I would be looking for a new sponsor. Yet to hear a good word about this company despite the aggressive marketing campaign....

Maybe the 36's were on a performance based deal. On that basis they owe the sponsors money !

Centurion, did you not read this article?: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/sout ... 6586271232

The scenario is so typical of what happens when government incentives are offered for provision of goods and services, suddenly all of the cowboys emerge.... eventually leaving the long standing legitimate operators in the given industry tarnished. Rainwater tanks, ceiling insulation and workplace training are other pertinent examples.
