Would like to see them play at 5:30 Friday, even 11:00 Thursday night, sadly the rules say. Only one crack allowed at a reschedule. Hence the game is cancelled.

From the hot weather policy...
• If the hot weather policy is applied on the day when the game is rescheduled, then all of these conditions and procedures will be adhered to. Eg if the temperature forecast is 40.C or above, then all matches scheduled on that day will be cancelled. If the rescheduled game is played on a Sunday and the temperature is forecast between 36 – 39.C, then this game will result in a draw, as it will not be allowed to be played later.

I'm sure there is some flexibility in scheduling for the good of the game. Play on Wednesday or st brendans get the win. They are ultimately the ones that lose out in this situation with no fault of their own. Seems na fianna pushing the one point scenario for their own gain. Not sure they need to be getting involved. Let st brendans and onkas work it out

Not pushing any scenario, St Brendans getting one point would win them the league by superior goal difference. Na Fianna can't be knocked out of the top two no matter if it's a Onkas win/loss/draw.
I'd be more than happy to see these two slog it out on a Wednesday night, 2 days prior to we'd face either of them in a semi.
To the letter of the law, this is the result it should be. If Saints were disadvantaged, I'm sure more would've come out of it. However they haven't been. This ruling has been given by people above me & will save the poor soles in tonight's meeting a good hour of their night!

Safe to say tomorrows committee meeting may take a while.

Until results become official I cannot do the refs roster for the finals. Have to agree with my photographer friend that once the draw is done and finalised re-scheduled games should NOT be permitted. We had half our games at 9.15 Friday and the draw from hell but didn't even think of re-scheduling. Its a disgrace that teams have worked their ass of for 5 months and we don't have a League Cup winner.

Its the 9:15 sunday night games that are the real killer IMHO.

Don't feel for st Brendan's. Smart guys who I'm sure considered all of the eventualities. Now what do the rules say about Div 2 finals when there's only 3 teams in " Div 2"?

I wrote that post whilst sitting at the meeting and it WAS correct. Im sure it was an over sight as i believe your treasurer is away but we sat and discussed the issue extensively so there is no insult only FACT. Paddy even offered to pay the $. Like i said merely an over sight but a long discussion was had over the reprecussions for Port should they not become financial.

Money was transferred. Seems it was not cleared into the association account prior to the meeting. I can guarantee that flinders are financial

The District boys have a footy camp on this weekend from friday night to sunday morning so providing we have paid up today and are still playing sunday could be a few boys struggling come game time sunday arvo.

4.13 def 0.9 and 2.9 def 1.8 to be exact. Should be a cracker of a prelim. Impossible to tip with any certainty.
