Cant see us taking 10 wickets with that line up let alone taking 20! we may be lucky and jag first innings points but for me even that is a long way off.

Batting looks OK at best I'm not sold on Raphael i think Carey and Head are great propects and simply have to keep playing for devlopment, Surly Cooper is due, maybe the longer form of the game may help with no real pressure to get going he can just play himself in?? (I hope so as he is a far better cricketer than he is showing) i have no idea who Brown is so cant comment is he the kensington Brown? which leaves Klinger, Botha and Ludeman for mine we need a big score from Klinger who is more than capable, Botha must lead from the front and Ludes can play his natural game but just be a little more selective.

IMO we would have to bat first and post 350+ which to me is a long shot but that would be our only chance of getting points in this game.

Sayers is a work horse but hardly a strike bowler (i know his figures are good thus far), Minnie well its all weve got, Botha like with the bat must show why we recruited him and lead from the front and i think Worrell will play in front of Tietjens and again he is hardly a threat.

As much as i hope I'm wrong i think were in real trouble we only have 4 out but it just exposses our lack of depth were NSW have a heap out yet they just keep getting the job done. I'll think NSW will take full match points :(
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Brown is Jake from Kensington.

Did Alex Carey go to Tasmania with the 2nd XI squad last week? Must have gone alright to get his first List A and FC games so soon....

yeah it's quite a weak team, Cooper can count himself very lucky that there is little competition for his spot in the team at the minute.

The missus and I are off to corny point for the week so I won't be able to follow the match very closely. TSG will be happy about that ;)

Good start by the boys, can't argue with Sayers selection, keeps on getting the top order wickets. Would love to see how our full strength eleven would look, in particular the bowling attack. My eleven would be:

Klinger
Cooper (would love to see him open, think it would suit his game better, and has made a one day hundred opening)
Hughes
Ferguson
Head
Christian
Ludeman
Botha
Richardson
Sayers
Putland

12th Lyon
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Great start! Sayers seems to have taken his Grade form of years and years with him to Shield cricket. A genuine swing bowler. How far can he go?

Moving the ball a long way, got Henry with a cracker that moved in about 15cm or so from outside offstump.
