As it turned out, the doof-doofing I heard was from Wayville.....had fun anyway as I hadnt listened to that stuff for yonks.

Which one are you? Btw, the best way of getting in to the BDO, is not through the drain system, not by jumping the fence & not by impersonating security. Last year when the BDO was sold out, I went on one my biggest non-weekend benders ever... I arrived very hung-over, & without a ticket. I sat out the front, with the hair of the dog, & quietly drank for an hour. I thought about buying a ticket from a scalper, only at face value. No takers there, I just relaxed, & started thinking outside the square. I'd already promised friends I would be inside soon, & that I would contact them, once in. Needless to say, I got in without a ticket & without fanfare/risk. I'm keeping my method a secret, incase it's required again. Let's just say I walked through the front gates with no hassles whatsoever.... PS I saw some people I knew, who went to the trouble of color-copying back stage passes & laminating them, they failed, others even dressing in yellow tops/black pants. My plan involved no deception at all.zipzap wrote:I don't know if it was good or not, I got kicked out after being caught in the drains.See Saturday's tiser for details.

Good to see that the RHCP are all about the fans then... over-rated.Booney wrote:I know a bloke in the "music promotion" industry, gets bands out here, his last attempt at the Chilli Peppers was fruitless, they wanted $1M+ per show! Ticket prices would have been astronomical.

My refernce to frequent flyer points, was aimed at the O/S bands. Not against Hilltop Hoods backing up (local stage last year, main stage this year).Constance_Perm wrote:Agreed on the Metallica gig Punky, I possibly enjoyed them TOO much to the point that both this years and last years lineups didn't hold much appeal ... I don't really see a problem with Oz bands playing as often as possible, but think that any imports should be kept to a once every x amount of years basis!
Would be nice to see someone like RHCP or Linkin Park headline next years gig
