Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Adelaide Oval will be just as crap for the first two weeks of the finals. 5000 people in a stadium that holds 55000 is never a good look

22k turned up in 2007 IIRC, was a great atmosphere.

If fine weather they just need to block off the top decks of the stands and it would be great.

Exactly. They do that at ETIHAD Stadium in Melbourne and it certainly helps.

Once the SAAFL & WAFL leagues moved to home finals they have not gone back to neutral grounds other than the Grand Final for one simple reason

BIGGER CROWDS = $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Not only for the leagues but the hosts clubs as well and it looks good on TV.

What would you rather see a full Glenelg, Alberton, Prospect & Norwood oval on TV or an very empty Football Park and Adelaide Oval and the atmosphere of home finals is awesome even at SAAFL level huge crowds and packed ovals
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

I would gladly see Glenelg/Alberton/Prospect/Norwood used for finals - so long as Glenelg/Port/North/Norwood weren't participating.

Finals venues ought to be neutral.

Reward the teams that finish higher by giving them home finals as per AFL, NRL, Cricket and A League. Save neutral for the GF at Football Park.

Neutral local venues would be a disaster. Definately highest team to get advantage which makes much more scense (and dollars).

SANFL Finals will never be played at Adelaide Oval. Once the AFL season is done, the ground will get changed with the drop in pitches for cricket.

When does the footy lease run out at the new AO?

I think the AFL would have a lease on AO until Prelim final weekend but after that cricket would take over.
The only way an SANFL GF would be held at AO is if we move it back a couple of weeks

And it would fix the 'issue' that there are no rewards for finishing 2nd over 3rd, or 4th over 5th
