Happy Monday Morning all! ;)

Not long now until trials are underway.. Probably 5 or 6 weeks! Havent heard much from some teams at all this pre season. how are sides like North Pines, Flinders Parkm Flinders Uni, Broadview, Angle Vale etc shaping up? (There many not be any forum posters from those clubs on here)

Has everyone locked in trials or are they still a bit up in the air with oval availability etc?

Heard Flinders Uni picked up a young A grader from Wakerie who should be playing Div 1 or 2 not Div 7.

Surely no coin down there at Flinders Uni?

Unless they have secured a major sponsor or something to help with cashflow.. Does anyone that studies at the uni actually play in the side? or is that one of the problems, too many med students not enough footballers?

or too many international students that play soccer - and not enough footballers

Problem is, is that most folks already are cemented at a club by the time they get to FlindersUni, so no incentive to change, also they wouldn't have the same number of interstate/country students as Adelaide Uni.

A competitive Flinders Uni is what D7 needs.

By all accounts, good numbers at pre-season, which is a vast improvement on the last 1-2 years. They'd also hope to pick up a few numbers during O week.

Certainly no coin splashed around.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Flinders Uni have been recruiting since round 17 2012. They don't pay, but have some seriously good players who want to play with mates. They will improve dramatically in 2013. Good luck to Bharat and the club. Beware you don't all get crabs.

Ah right good to hear, thats one thing other than money that gets people playing at a club. Having mates there as well.. good on them and good luck to them. Lets hope for everyones sake in the Div 7 comp they can turn it around and be more than competitive.

Don't know alot about Bharat or the club itself but well done for getting on the front foot last year and recruiting.

Interesting to see if they have a trial game to test these 'recruits'.

I havent followed the div too closely to be honest but just reading results over the past season or two and reading comments on the forum it would be a fair turnaround for the club.

its only up 2 spots..not really a turnaround?..i am geographically close to uni and have heard some whispers :)

looks like the whispers might be correct.. :)

Attracting/having a good calibre of players is one thing, gelling as a side, performing and winning games is another. Games aren't won on pieces of paper, Farm still with plenty of work to do..

Who hacked PG's account?!?!? This post is way to modest for him!

As for IF recruits, I might have to go down Belalie Road on my way home tonight to check this out. Surely there couldn't be more?
