Time to move with the times. Home finals is the way to go.

The SAAFL have been doing it since 2004 and the WAFL for the last few years.

Crowds are up huge and money into the clubs and we have no problems with 4 different sides at one ground.

Four different teams means four different groups of supporters means 4 different groups of people spending cash at your club.

That is a weak excuse to use in any at all.

Move forward with the times or die.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Footy Park in the first two weeks of the finals is a really shitty place to be. Absolutely zero atmosphere.

No, they're so the rest of us had an excuse to open the trophy cabinet during Central's dynasty...

yup, Adelaide Oval is where The Finals should be played, make it speeecial for the players & supporters.

+1. Finals venues should be central and neutral. The old Adelaide Oval was perfect.

I'm not convinced suburban finals are the way to go, but think 2013 would be the perfect year to try it, before Adelaide Oval is ready in 2014.

home suburban finals even without a double header would create a far better atmosphere than footy park and adelaide oval

No chance of Adelaide Oval hosting it after the grass gets relaid over the next few months ready for the Ashes.

Move forward with the times or die.

Just because it's a new idea doesn't mean that we're 'moving with the times'. IMO: Footy Park good, suburban grounds bad, Adelaide Oval great.

There is nothing good about the first few weeks of finals at Footy Park. Empty stadium with no atmosphere.

I meant for finals. Some minor round games at Adelaide Oval would be great though.

How do you know finals at suburban grounds would be bad?

I can't get over the fact we could be watching players warm up in the local park
for a final.

Spot on Aerie. Try it, it succeeds and gives the league something to consider, it fails and we move on to AO.
