The cucc player got 3 games for un- necessary contact and the npcc player got 2 games for unsportsmanlike conduct, both players could have got more and should consider themselves lucky it was only that. As it turns out the cucc player is out injured probably for the rest of the season anyway.

Its part of sledging. Giving the opponent a chance to retaliate, in the hope he does something stupid like head butting or hitting ppl with his batt or what ever happened. If you retaliate like a twat you're going to be on the end of plenty more verbal chat. People don't see you as a hero for hitting back.

so what we are being led to believe that a batsman for no reason threatened someone to hit them with their bat, interesting
also what sort of brain surgeon after being threatened with a bat actually then walks towards the bloke with the bat to head but him - no logic and would appear made a pre meditated decision to cause physical contact

so obviously as a club, the responsible thing to do to teach the bloke a lesson (the lesson that the given ban was intending) you would extend this ban so he genuinely missed three games through disciplinary reasons, instead of just missing 3 games through injury and not really ever serving his disciplinary ban

I have been sledged more than most in my time (some may say its deserved) i almost always hear a smart ass comment as i walk off OUT with my tail between my legs, I have never , not once, turned around and raised my bat to wack someone if i didt like what they had to say, have you ? I dont think you would have , i would say, no matter how bad, smart, rude, crude the send off is, 99% of batsman would just take it and walk off , YES? or do you turn around and retaliate to the serve ? i say on your bike son, tell your story walking.... as you trudge off with your bat under your sweaty pit....
