Bunton wrote:more to it than what the article suggests - if it was just a transparent contract amendment, it would have been dealt with long ago, ala West and Port. This is a much more sly, yep sloppy in the end, arrangement. They have only been caught re-handed fort the McGuinness contract to date, but real interest will come if Investigations Committee insist on access to other player banks accounts and insist on them signing stat decs about payments recieved. stay tuned

And why would they stop at looking at one player when the bright sparks involved would have considered themselves to be onto a good thing.
I wonder if this will just involve the long term injured players only and was activated to make up for their major match payment shortfall?
Newton, Campbell and one other who I can't recall also were out most of 2012.
Anyhow, we have said all last year how could Norwood put that many quality players together and still be under the cap.... well the injuries obviously helped sort it out, but if they put their best 21 on the park every week last season, on performance loaded contracts, no way their under in our opinion!

FFS, Kmac or Norwood hasn't been found guilty yet and I doubt they will be.

Will be interesting if salary cap committee drill into norwoods marketing spend. Besides the CEO appointing his son as marketing manager, despite limited experience, there seems to be some very inflated wages being paid to Norwood, players with no marketing experience, that don't actually do any work.

Interesting times ... Is mark Ross still employed by the club?

Would be surprised if this didnt happen at most clubs.
Personally know of one person involved at another club who is employed by the club on decent money yet works minimal hours.

And there's nothing in the rules that disallow it (provided of course a player isn't paid over the odds for the work they're doing). Mark Ross is still at the club.

Bunty the answer is quite simply the cost of living adjustment that Norwood are allowed due to house prices, rent prices, lycra guernseys etc. ;)

SaFooty's Shane Radbone moment?

Matt's said to be pretty dark about this very specific comment on his professional capabilities.

Don't think Norwood would come into it, it'd be Matt personally here, it's his professional reputation that's been impugned.

You just keep being obsessed with us though, it's awfully amusing.

Dumb and dumber in stereo, love it.

Bunton's the only one around here who should be twitchy.

I first heard the term used by Norwood supporters during the 3rd quarter of the 2010 GF just saying.
