Na mate, I umpire, I have no girlfriend, I split up with my wife 6 months ago after 13 years, I have a 10 & 7 year old who I devote every spare minute I have to now. I just have a friend that I've become reacquainted with that I enjoy catching up with, leaving my kids was the hardest thing I've had to do in my life & my dad has been very sick for the past 4 months to top off the shit feeling.
I'm on the mend to some degree though.

That's it mate, some things are out of our control, we just have to be positive with the things we can control. I didn't know what to say to you when you suffered your loss because I didn't know how you felt, nothing could compare.

I met LM during the 2009 or 2010 preseason. I did a preseason with Smithfield because I couldnt get out to my club because of distance issues. Was a very good experience training there. The coach and most players were very welcoming and the coach offered to pay for my boots, shorts, socks and fees if I played there, which angered at least one player I would rather not get in a fight with

Joke wouldve been on them though if I had accepted, coz I was training WAY better than I produce in games

I only trained at Smithfield. I dont think I missed any trainings, but its possible. I stopped training just before the team went to a footy carnival in Loxton coz my coach didnt want me going up there with another team.

That was in 2010 LM when you were umpiring. We played you guys at Smithfield and you smashed us, it was a freakish display. Didn't do a thing wrong all day. Personally I played alright but half the time the ball was sailing over my head at half back.

Would love to meet most people on here as they all seem like great individuals.
Gozu tops the list though as we seem to have the same political and social justice beliefs etc.
Centurion and Dogwatcher are the best two guys i have met on the site so far.

Oh, and can't wait to meet Dedja at Parent/Teacher night *grins*

Those of you in District Cricket circles have probably met me.. scorer at West Torrens.

Cheers

To me, safooty.net seems like a good place to have a say about all kinds of topics, and very rarely do the differing opinions of others become personal attacks. That's why I'm open to anyone who is respectful.

I think there is a formula that reveals something like: the number and/or level of personal attacks are directly proportionate to the lateness of the hour and the level of alcohol ingested by the author.
