Squeaky clean? I bet there was a cheer at footy park when the news broke.

do you really think players where taken off site for vitamin b and c injections? think of the cost of the people giving the injections hiring of the offsite place and compare that to the cost of a good multi vitamin. The area of what they where told they where getting and what they actually got sounds a bit grey to me. But ASADA say it's the athelete responsibility to know what's going into there body.

$30,000 for vitamins? You can get bags of oranges from the Riverland for next to nothing.
After the crap that was coming out of James Hird's mouth when Matthew Knights was shafted, do you really believe him?

seeing swisse is a sponsor of the afl i'm sure they could of got some very cheap. wonder how swisse feel about this.

The average bloke/sportsman in the street could not launder $900k pa so I doubt any brown paper bag deal would ever exceed a grand a week or thereabouts

can't find asada finding i'm sure it wouldn't be on the net. But in this article it states he was charged with attempted use of a prohibited substance violation. customs seized the product before he even got it, so he obvisously didn't take any. I do know of one company in america being shut down after traces of steroids where found in there products.

If the AFL is serious, they wont do anything but fine them, take away points and suspend them from the draft.

Anything else above that is just shooting themselves in the foot.
Its not up to the AFL
WADA and ASADA pull rank and they will suspend players if required
They will deal with the players but the AFL will trot out the "bringing the game into disrepute" line and deal with the club.
But if 20-30 players get suspended like the media are alluding to there will be no club
Suspend the lot and disband the league .... Lets go to the local country footy on a Saturday Arvo them go to the pub and watch re-runs of footy games from the 80's (when the Bombers could actually win a flag !)

Dean Bailey has a ripper story about Paul Van Der Haar and his drugs of choice (see above) before a mid-week night game at VFL park in the 80s! Classic.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
