If they 100% have to have it I would prefer the umpires to be in control of when its used but you can see it now, the umpires wouldn't make a single decision and use it every appeal like they do with runouts

Agree. I think it is ok when you're watching on tv but when you're at the ground I hate it for the reason you suggested.

I think they have it close to right in its use, but would not allow it to be used for the no-balls. If an umpire misses a close no-ball then so be it.

What it has shown since its inception is the umpires are generally pretty good at getting the decisions right.

yep, it should be used for every ball, or not at all.

Cant believe how many decisions have been overturned in recent times without conclusive proof that the original decision was wrong. Especially in regards to caught behinds. It's getting beyond a joke. It's pretty simple imo, if the replay, hot spot etc shows an OBVIOUS error has been made, reverse the decision, if no obvious error has been made, play on !. Too many times it seems the decisions are being reversed based on guesswork and inconclusive evidence which is shitting players off more than ever.

It's one thing to have the stumps light up but i dont think implementing that tecnology into a bat and ball would be that SIMPLE as you suggest.

The trouble with the system atm is that the 3rd umpire is still guessing to a certain degree when overturning decisions. When it takes 3 mins of watching replays over and over, that in it self suggests there is doubt but they still go ahead and over turn decisions based on hunches rather than solid clear cut evidence.

After the two shocking hotspot decisions in the last week I am not so sure about it. For a decision to be overturned there needs to be clear proof, a massive edge not something that is questionable.

I have doubts on how accurate hawkeye is as well.

the issue isn't DRS, the issue is the umpires are making stupid calls with it. Overturning the call against the WI last game was a stuff up by the umpire not the system.
