The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

When I played a season of turf cricket it was an upfront fee of $150 plus then a weekly payment of $15 for 1 day games and $10 per day of 2 games. After 1 season I tallyed up the amount I spent and it was cheaper to play at my old Grade club than turf

Don't play for a club in the ATCA! They couldn't even beat the PDCA. You guys are much more talented than those of the PDCA... Amirite?

Nah thats about the average. Some clubs just charge ball fees around $10 per match, others have set fees and some have combination but average out about the same.

Remember hard wicket dont have the cost of curators.

I believe if your a genuine fill in who is not a regular it was just 10 for the game, if you were playing a short season due to work or coming in half way through it was worked out on how long of the year was left, so for us we had a few that joined half way and paid 100 for there subs. If you were there from the start the the 200 was due first week of December, which 99% paid up on time this year, which was really good considering issues we have had past seasons

The thing is no one in ATCA cares about rep cricket. The best 11 is never picked. Just look at the Brahma Lodge players that represented PDCA when they were in that comp. Only Sibbick would be in the top 40 ATCA players, just. If ATCA, and the players In ATCA were serious about this, they would outright PDCA in a 50 over game, easily.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA... ANY 11 AGAINST THE HARD WICKET WARRIORS.. THIS ONE CAN GO WITH MY OTHER FUNNY STORY ABOUT YOUR U21s BELTING THE OTHER WEEK... HAHHAAAAAAAAA... STOP IT MY BELLY HURTS...

Enjoy your moment in the sun. Because deep down I think most of the Turf guys don't care. The guys I spoke to who were in the side didn't have a clue what was going on.

For me when I played (Yes Merki, I know my spot wasnt warranted) the real prize was the opportunity getting to play on Adelaide Oval. I'm sure many of the PDCA lads would have the same view, maybe many of the ATCA lads have been there done that and hence their lack of desire? In saying that, I havent seen or heard that from any of the ATCA players and I cn't imagine why they would want to give up a Sunday just to not care on the result, i'm sure they would have better things to do.

I have no doubt that the best ATCA XI would beat a PDCA XI but if ATCA don't want to field that side then PDCA shouldnt be made to feel their win was of less value, the lads can only beat who the opposition field.

That seems more than reasonable.

We find it quite difficult to collect full subs off players, this results in (a higher) weekly match charge.
