Both Sam and Alex Pfeiffer are in NSW living with their mother however as far as I know both plan on coming back over winter. A lot of course could change with work etc tho, they live in a coastal town so i'm sure they will love it over summer but wont have the same perks in the middle of winter

Margitich is having a crack in town, so we'll have to wait and see how he goes on that one

Ins should include Tyson Matthews and Mark Marchetti, unsure how affective Chetts will be after coming back from a second knee op but Tyson has dropped a heap of weight and got himself fit so hopefully he can make an impact in the A's rather than plodding around in the ressies every now and then like last year

With all that in mind, you could possibly say that Ramblers and Imps will be roughly the same with no drastic changes to key players. Mypo look like they could drop a tad. The biggest unknowns will be Meningie and Mannum IMO.

haha, well they were players that I would still like to have at the club regardless of what others say and think, when a club like ours struggles with depth it sucks losing these guys, hopefully they will come back at some stage.

As for training yep it started last night, I only stayed for the first hour but all the new recruits were there.

So if Bowen was there we can assume confirmed and not rumour. Obviously can play, but how do Clayton and Sheedy look. Roos will be tough and hard to beat this year. All the best to Yatsey as they are having a crack at the title this year.

It appears that one club in this league doesn't understand the role of the CFL and the rules pertaining to contracts.
Maybe they are being misguided by one of footballs most recognised mercenaries!

Gus Bruggerman is reported to have also followed Dale King to Mallala in the Adelaide Plains League. Can you confirm Ryder?

Think you will find that is his home club and he is no longer working in Meningie.

Reckon hopper is spot on. No longer works in Meningie and its his home club. I'd say Kingy probably followed Gus.

Some losses for the Bears who were contributors last year, Kingy was 1 of 7-8 players selected to play zone footy from RMFL.
Didn't get to see much of Ignatius Valagio, but is he returning to the Bears?

From what I saw ... Vallejio was more suited to shadow boxing the way he ducks and weaves around his own shadow

Pretty sure that all clubs in the RMFL and all CFL affiliated clubs would be aware of contractual regulations and guidelines. A recognised mercenarie misleading a RMFL club is hard to believe. Once again wondering if in fact this is credible info?? Who is this mercenarie and which club is harbouring such an unsavoury character?? Perhaps a RMFL club has approached a gun player from another league and has ruffled a few feathers?

Some really interesting things going on in the world of RMFL this week!!

Mid Murray Council have given the Mannum footy club $42600 in interest free loans in the past 5 years which 1 councillor responded to by saying & I quote "I see from their balance sheet that the Mannum Football Club does quite well, & is paying close to $100,000 to players each year. We need to stop giving funds to football clubs who pay professional players when they have the earning capacity to fix their own facilities. Why dont they cut some players? After all they haven't won a premiership in 10 years & could afford to pay for it themselves"

The second is the greed & total disrespect the RMFL has for any heritage of the game. Own New leagues Best & fairest is now to be called the Murray Valley Standard Medal. Obviously some sort of deal has been done, & once again the leagues finest minds have put $$$$$$$ in front of what is right.

RMFL have a 7 team league & 5 play finals for revenue only, as the set up is the laughing stock of the states footy
RMFL allow loop holes for some clubs to exploit & say its for the betterment of the league, but really its so these same heads can go to interleague meetings & say "We have Andrew McLoad playing in our league"
RMFL back down at the first sign of trouble, & don't stand behind our tribuneral

I think its time that the League committee remembered that they are in a position or roll, to serve the clubs, not the other way around!! I wonder if the Medal name change even went to a vote by the 7 clubs, & if it did, were those seven clubs delegates given the opportunity to go to their members & ask for opinions, because thats the way it is supposed to work isn't it?????

I also found the article about Mannum very interesting.... My first reaction was similar to that councillor - they can afford to pay out all this money in player payments but need to borrow money from the council to upgrade the clubrooms - something smells funny!! You did miss the rest of the quote though Goldberg about the gun players being good for the young guys at the club... Would be more interesting to see what some non football Mannum residents think of that sort of money going to a football club paying out so much to players.

As for the Standard Medal - not a big fan of that being changed either - it's been the mail medal for something like 80 years!! - but I'm sure in the article it did say that the vote had gone back to all the clubs and it was decided then to change it...

The mail medal article made no mention of the clubs members being told about this! It said they had listened to feedback regarding the coverage the Standard gives the RMFL & are continuing to improve it.
It was a very sneaky paragraph, to suggest the supporters/members had a say, when in fact they had hadn't.
League is there for the clubs
Club delegates are there for their members, not to make decisions with no feedback at all
