27y.o v 24y.o, may have a little more upside and longevity! Well i hope so anyway, hard to compare probably at this stage.

Possibly. Hayes has the experience, versatility and Premierships. Time will tell I guess...

Ainger is great pick up by the eagles and with them playing less night games than South he should be at home.

Ronny is a good bloke, premiership coach and knows "his" stuff at League level.... but South need to stand up or join the Southern League ammo comp!

At the time I think West Torrens and Woodville had the biggest gaps between premierships ( Woodville never won one ).
Right now South and West have the biggest gaps between premierships, West look financially rooted so those two would be the best candidates to merge.

the impression I have is that West, Sturt & Port are FF'd, does this mean they should ALL amalgamate?
So long as South are financial they won't fold, it doesn't matter to the SANFL that they don't win flags, so long as they pay their way.
