While it is a given to not cheat, to bag a bloke for thanking another team for calling a guy back to the wicket after he was given out is a bit over the top IMO.

I didn't realise I did but I will take your word for it.

I was commenting more on the fact that they had to call him back in the first place. To be called back you first need to be given out and to be given out you need to appeal. Why are they appealing if he didn't have the ball in his hand?

Hypothetical:

If Brahma Lodge get relegated this season and Sibbick retires, how long until they are looking to ge back to hard wicket where it's easier??
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

RCC V St Peters would have to be the most bizarre game ive seen in A grade cricket. St Peters batted like it was 20/20 game in BOTH innings...only to lose outright with RCC none down for 108....Not sure what the St peters boys were thinking tbh. Their openers batted 10 and 11 in the second dig?
We were dead set lucky with that result as we batted crap on a decent deck last week!

Yep umpires never make a mistake. And when they do, the batter is recalled. Every time.

Playing Port District on the weekend, half the team was drinking piss during the game, they had umpires come on to the field while drinking, and had their number 7 or 8 come in with no shirt, no pads and completely pissed. He was told they would not play until he at least put a shirt on, which he did, but still wore no pads and still acted like a pissed moron. Also the captain was out on numerous occasions with no one in his team willing to give him out, til he was bowled by our ginger firecracker.

All in all, what a disgrace, Port Districts should be fined for this and their captain should be suspended for allowing this to happen. Any thoughts?

depends if it is actually as you say it is, as these things do get embellished

nothing wrong with having a few and enjoying it in the lower grades but there still needs to be some sort of respect for the game and the opposition

LOD's maybe but C3 probably not the best grade for this and im sure ATCA wouldnt want this type of thing occuring. How does insurance hold up if the players are drinking and an injury occurs?

The bylaws are very clear that drinking during the game is not on.
Drinking on the oval is not on.
Taking part in the game while under the influence is not on.

Pooraka should email David and ask for a please explain.

Interesting to note that Pt Districts declared?

You would think that Pooraka, should they have a problem address their concerns with the ATCA, Port District and David, as opposed to bringing the matter up on a forum and in the public domain. Ordinary form, and effectively Port District whether guilty or not guilty are tarnished.

Ordinary form??

Pooraka are taking this up with ATCA and David, this being a forum and all, I thought I was allowed to bring up issues for discussion. As for port districts, I can assure you that they were Guilty and their club does deserve to be tarnished, what they did was nothing short of embarrassing to themselves and the club.
