apparently smith has been working hard on his leg spin..... just obviously not in matches.

i hear some commentators say he should concentrate on his spin more, others say he should just play as a batsmen.

Not good enough at either unfortunately. Very hard to be an international standard all-rounder. He should of been told to focus on either his batting or bowling ages ago. You would have to be a freak in the junior grades to have the ability to be an international standard allrounder. Kallis is probably the only quality allrounder in international cricket at the moment but his bowling duties have diminished lately.

If he can overcome his injury Mitch Marsh is the man.
Hopefully he ends up taking the allrounder spot.
Other nations would laugh if we rocked up at the WC with Smith, Henriques or Maxwell as our main allrounder

Wake-up people, 2 years ago Watto was the hottest thing in cricket with both bat and ball. He still is in the top 3 allrounders(probably 2nd behind Kallis) in the world. Had he had no injury issues he would still be a superstar.

Laugh or not...currently Australia's next best option is Mitchell Johnson. He is a proven performer....admittedly he is wayward, inconsistent, has bad hair and a worse tat. But you tell me who else has a proven record domestically or internationally good enough to don the whites(or pyjamas) for AUS

Maxwell is not the answer. Smith is ok but still needs some work. Mitch Marsh needs to get fit for one. But in short I dont thik we have an option for that spot.

Agree, much like Cameron White, Smiths' best chance is to give away the bowling and work on the batting.
