Dubby are trying to get 2 sides going next season. One to play in the 2 day comp (not sure which divvy) and another to keep playing in the 1 day comp.
They should be competitive in the 2 day comp as they will regain a few players who have left over the past couple of seasons.

Oval is no longer dirt and prickles, with probably 3/4 of it with grass coverage. A great effort by the club to restore the oval especially if you knew what it looked like 5-6 years ago.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Good to hear regarding their oval, where do they get the players for 2 sides? Haven't played against them since the old Lower Gilbert days and they were always a good bunch of blokes, never an abundance of numbers though.

Leo was very tough to put away on the weekend with his off spinners.

He would be one of the best spinner I've faced in div 1.

Not just because they absolutely flogged us :-)

Depends on what you are looking for in a spinner? Below a list IMO of the best spinners in the comp, which includes two Grade 2 spinners (Dirix & Ashley).

Out of the spinners i've seen - (obviously not including myself), he would probably be the best.

I also think M. Anders from AV bowls well and would rate him probably just behind Hansich.

Wellington is a proven wicket taker, although i actually dont think he bowls that well, the big advantage he has though in a team is he is amazing in the field, has a rocket arm and can hit a big ball with the bat.

Dirix from Parafield Gardens is the leg spinner, and when he is on song is a very tricky bowler to face.

The rest of the spinners i think just bowl fruit loops.

I see Scott McIntyre has played the last 2 games for westies... is there no cut off date for clearances? before January ?? just asking the question.. not trying to make waves, i understand he is a westies boy, but you still need a clearance to come back from Pt Pirie.
