Not a lot of player movement between Norwood and Port as the hatred and culture differences seems to lessen that movement.
Remember Eugine Warrior coming to Norwood and what a great player he was. Saw him eliminate Glenelg in a final off his own boot but his off field issues killed him as a player. Lasted literally 10 minutes at the Bay too for similar antics.
Always sad to see super talent wasted.

Any details about this guy. Wish him well either way.

I guess that is a question for someone at your club.

I know Port fought very hard to keep him at Alberton, so for Wilson to leave with so many good changes happening at the PAFC is really disappointing.

Be interesting what happens with his brother.

I saw his old man at a Maggies game last year carrying on like an absolute knob with a few of his d..kh..d mates, what i was told was 1 of the Wilson boys had an issue with a senior league player who i can say had left the club at the end of last season but couldn't speak to anyone else bar dad about it, in the mean time he stewed over it for weeks while dad abused every player & coaching staff he could at the game i was at.
I think his old man needs to pull his head in & behave like a responsible supportive parent.

 Really? That doesn't sound like Tony at all to me, he worked at Le Fevre High when I was there and both Anthony and Luke went there too. Tony is one of the nicest guys I've met, always see him at Magpies games I go to and he always says G'day.

Former Port Adelaide and State Under 18's player Luke Wilson has transferred to Norwood in a bid to play League Footy. Luke has all the attributes to play SANFL League and AFL lets hope he works hard and gets the opportunity he hopes for in a very good Norwood outfit. Good Luck Lukey.

My brother thinks Luke might live out near Norwood now too. Might find it hard to get a regular gig at Norwood though I reckon.

Was in the state under 18's two seasons ago but wasn't regularly picked and played only minimal time when he was. Good reserves player with plenty of pace mainly playing across halfback, can't see him being a league regular at Norwood.

In Bassett's time he's had pretty good results with polishing and unearthing a player to fill the run and carry role from the back half .. Puopolo in 2010 and Luke Brown in 2011/12 have been very effective, here's hoping young Luke can blossom similarly.

Having Bunji out there can only help too.

And im sure he wasnt complaining being a full time footballer playing in front of 80k at the G. Especially when he couldnt get a game at the maggies.

The point is this kid wouldnt be the first footballer to move to a 'better' club and make a go of it.

Therefore answering SDK question of why this kid thinks he could get a game at Norwood if he couldnt at Port.

Pretty simple really

There have been a lot of players who don't get a go at one club or don't perform at one club but excell when moving to another club. Time will tell if Luke will be like that or not

Both players possess outstanding potential and have just recently relocated and have joined their new team mates and are now working extremely hard within the Club’s Pre- season programme.

The Club wishes them both well in their endeavours to resurrect their football careers.

I think Gamble is the brother of former Geelong and St Kilda forward, Ryan?

Don't know much about Dylan but judging from the article it appears he did. Must have been quite a while ago.

Carl played U17s & U19s while I was involved at that level, and returned home to Kybybolite at end of 2008 I reckon.
He has certainly bulked up a bit while back in the country compared to when he left us as a skinny kid.

I have played gaelic footy with Anthony, so ive had a chance to look at him up close. If he is taking a game seriously he can destroy opposition, has got blistering speed and very good awareness. He is very very light on in frame though.

Ive never seen luke play but he must be alright given port trialled him for a rookie spot.

There is no doubt they have potential, as do most indigenous lads. It sh*ts me just how easy they make footy look sometimes!
