Been a gold mine that place thanks to Lofty.
Just wish those boys went a bit harder at the CLG lads. Maybe next time we will provide complimentary hair gel as part of signing on.

To be honest with you deeman I was floored by the reaction from some of the CLG lads to what was a reasonably gentle ribbing. I had no malice nor did I mean to get people so angry. The intention of my post was to thumb my nose at our friendly neighbours in as you said, a bit of jest, not start a forum flame war, but they overreacted and in turn pissed me off with some of the very personal posts calling me an idiot, liar etc. I don’t have to put up with that nor was it fair and balanced reaction.dee man wrote:the best way to go up and take on at a higher division is to do it methodically, professionally, intelligently but most important quietly
morgs,if i was harro i would be spitting chips, even if it is done in jest
especially since clg have had your measure for so many years now and i cant really seeing it change that much

its wax these days morell, gel makes your hair look too wet and greasy. Thanks for noticing the hair though we do try!

I cannot possible see what Harro could be upset about in anyway. Nowhere have I said anything about how I think we will have the wood over CLG nor am I in any way cocky about our chances in Div 6. I know how difficult this comp is going to be and indeed how tough CLG are going to be as opponents. WE have a lot of respect and a good relationship with the faux-lions, to the point that at least I thought we could have a bit of a stir and get away with it. I guess I was wrong.
It’s all fun though mate, come April I highly doubt any of these posts will be in anyone’s minds as we run out on to the ground. I have since been told a whole bunch more about a stack of other players (Daish, Spacey brothers), but in the spirit of the forum and to let things go I will leave the CLG boys alone from here on in.
Unless they throw more cash around at our players

Nice cushion morell.I for one will be stunned if CLG will have the wood over MP in 2013. Think MP are a lot better than in the past and I know Zed has improved CLG a fair bit but their games will be a lot lot closer than in years gone by. I believe MP will make the top 5 and yes EM surely I can be passionate of more than 1 club.

I think we have a lot of hard work and a long way to go before we can be discussed in the same sentence as CLG on the field.Yank Man wrote:morell wrote:To be honest with you deeman I was floored by the reaction from some of the CLG lads to what was a reasonably gentle ribbing. Yeah fair call, I had the most trouble placing Rosies and WOS. Might sneak them in a bit to be closer to the Units.Groover wrote:morell wrote:Taking bets of < $5

Good value considering they knocked us off last year! Very tough team to beat at home.
