Read previous posts mate, its stuck on last year's effort for some reason, Ive invesigated but still haven't found a solution, there's a few bugs around and there is new software that is an upgrade of the current software available but its only in Beta form, when its fully fledged we'll switch it over which will not only eliminate the bugs but give even more usability to the site.

I think the secret is in the term "users online"

35 (registered) users and 40 (guests) will NOT break the record as the guests would not be accounted as users. IMO

Yeah, Coorong is Coowrong, it includes guests and registered users.
Ive actually had the quirks checked out by my Webspace provider and it seems a tinkering I did of the code somewhere has caused it.
There's heaps of what is called modifications to this site to make it better than a normal playing phpBB2 forum so it might have to stay that way until we upgrade to phpBB3 which is in a current Beta stage.
Some of the mods I have in place make this forum a lot quicker than it used to be and I'd rather have a few bugs with stats and keep it quick.

nothing wrong with the site wedgie. i just happened to notice the change in most users was above the old 59 so i thought i'd just cut and paste and then see if it changed back to the old 59 which it did

Dude, its going to happen every week unless you want all the mods taken off this place that keep it quick to react.
No need for a new post every time it happens.

Hey Lizbeff, it really only matters if I'm here - or maybe perhaps it does if you are too, if you're nice to me........

Its quite ironic really.
If I take the mods off, this site becomes slow and we lose users and will never break the record again hence making taking the mods off a waste of time. :?

I don't think it really matters much, but I have observed another little oddity in how this site behaves.

Sometimes when I change from one section to another I notice that sections I never open - like Entertainment and the Gambling Room - suddenly turn pale as though I have opened them and read the contents. It is not that I have absentmindedly clicked to mark all threads as read, because other sections are not affected at the time????
