For balls hitting the stumps, yes. For balls pitching inline, no. The rule for pitching in line is an interpretation of what pitching in line means.

No. The ball pitching isn't a prediction, as it is plain to see. What they do is because the technology isn't 100%, they have allowed a margin for error. Ball hitting the stumps is a prediction, and why the ball clipping the stump is referred back to the umpires original decision.

Which is exactly what I said originally.

Then take the gloves off him and make him a fielder.

I was a critic of Haddin's but Wade's not doing himself any favours.

Silly comment! :?

Batting is - as has shown - very brittle after the top order, with Sri Lanka 4/160 then 5/220, you really thought they were going to post >350??

X3.

Starc's ball was almost unplayable. It would've troubled a top order batsman.

He has been very good against average opposition. Who should of missed out if Australia went in with 3 fast bowlers Captain Hindsight? Don't think he will worry the better teams. Don't think the extra fast bowler added much today. Like mp said, let's hope Australia don't loose quick wickets tomorrow.

What are you talking about ?
The extra fast bowler gave Australia bowling depth
The 4 fast bowlers took 9/216 between them on a goodish batting deck
Whats wrong with that ?

Just to clarify this post
Are you actually posting that Khawaja is a better bowler than Bird ?

The Worlds no 1 authoritarian on cricket posted this b4 the match started
WN1AOC got it right
Perhaps he could offer an explanation was to why Clark put the opposition in

Got me confused why Clarke put the Sri Lankans in
Unless Australia bat well in their first innings, it now gives Herath the opportunity to bowl last on this deck

Perhaps Clarke thought the deck would be more bowler friendly on day 1 than it ended up ?

Perhaps because he was given 4 quicks, thats why he chose to bowl first ?

Best to leave it to WN1AOC to answer, he predicted Australia will want to bowl first
