I don't have a problem with people joining a gym to get there life in to shape. I have a problem with people who join a gym and spend more time on there phone then working out or waking around with the inflated lats.

don't have a problem if there in there to train, but if there in there to socialise and interrupt my training then I have a problem. Like I said I have a problem with the new year "hero's" not the one's that are actually there to better themselves.

Some people go to the gym to socialise and lift a few weights and some people go to the gym to 'better themselves', just like some people go to the pub for a chat and some people go to the pub to get smashed.

I guess it depends on the person's motivations. Get over it.

You only go to the gym for 1 reason and that's to train. If you want to socialise then sit in other area's of the gym, not on a machine where more then likely someone is waiting to use it.
