Heard South Gawler the other day.

They'd bullshit their way through as much preseason as possible before committing I'd have thought.

Not many times you look at an opposition player or players and think .... jeez I wish he/they played for us.
Well I can tell you I have thought that about the Gowans boys many a time. The ultimate compliment.
Seem like great blokes off the field and I can imagine they would be a barrell of laughs around the club too.
Football needs players like the Gowans boys and the game is lesser for their departure.

If the play anywhere it will be at Anglesea on a "fifo" arrangement.

Mate that would be the last club in SA they would end up at.
They had their big spend last year, not a cracker left, it amounted to nothing and back down to the bottom they go for another 10-15 years.

So guys like Paul Marschall and Tom Dunne are going to play at SG for nothing then?

Marschall i would say will play for minimal amount since it's his junior club and Dunne i'm not even sure if he will play at SG as i believe he is a Gawler Central junior and as such Gawler Central would be unlikely to clear him. Jim05 might know more about this

Even if they did end up playing, it might only be a couple of 'appearnace games'. I think Chris is heading off overseas in July anyway.

Always amazed me about these two ..... all decisions, achievements, games played etc are as two. Never seems one will do one thing the other something else.
If they coached would it be a duo ???????????
Am I wrong that games played were within 1 or 2 of each other ?

Chris finished with 245 games, 332 goals

James played 1 less, with 244 games, kicked 270 goals

Look forward to seeing the book on the Twins in late March...
