BATTING
The slump continues
Wattos MCG Test average has now dropped from 91 to 89 after the first innings v SL ....

AUTOGRAPHS
Noticed Watto signing autographs left handed in this Test
Perhaps he has an injury to his right hand ...

INJURY
Injured again
Calf injury this time
Prob makes no difference he was due to be rotated
Is he on his last legs ....

WATTO +PUP TESTS
Clarke
Debut 6/10/2004 v India
Played 87 Tests

Watson
Debut 2/1/2005 v Pakistan
Played 37 Tests

Clarke debuted almost 3 months before Watson, and has played 50 Test Matches more

Some of our bowlers have been quite soft this year. Too many niggles getting them down

The problem with that is he's not good enough. 37 is poo.
If he's a bat only, you could name half a dozen blokes to play ahead of him.

Thankfully pup has worked this out too, hence why Hughes is now in the slip cordon not Watto.

i would put johnson up the order, he can bat, given opportunities no reason why his average wont improve with batting up the order.

Johnson has lots of ducks in test cricket, that is why he can't bat any higher up the order.
