That shit will make u very unpopular in the changerooms.

Very disappointed in Cowan

And then plays a crap shot to get out next over.
Hughes might have a quite word to him id imagine

I'm still not sold on him and think he would be the first to go out of the Warner, Hughes, Cowan trio

Noticed earlier when Warner was in full flight he started taking alot of the strike and then getting a single of the last ball of overs, not sure if part of their opening partnership plan or not but once Warner got to 50 he hardly faced a ball in 4 to 5 overs

His running between wickets is very amatuerish which the commentators highlighted on multiple occasions, his fielding is terrible as well.

He has the technique and determination with the bat but he does alot of other things terribly wrong

Clarke dropped, Watson doesnt look like he is an y form whatsoever, could be alot better for Lankans by stumps

Another dropped catch, the Lankans could have had us on the ropes by now, funny when Warner was playing shots and even Sangakarra in their innings batting looked so easy Aussies give u the impression just want to hold on until stumps and all of a sudden batting is so much harder

Run there for mine..

He called clearly twice ad Hughes was going up and down like a yo yo. If he went on call would have made it..

So very harsh

Aust finish 6 runs behind at stumps day 1.

Bowling wise thought all did their job, Johnson expensive but really through the Lankans on the back foot with a brutal over. Needs to do this more often than not

Batting Warner got off to a flyer and got to 50 in around 35 balls but then lsot the strike for a few overs, still has set us up nicely.

Not convinced with Watson, he may prove me wrong tomorrow and get a ton but he really struggled today.

Bit disappointed with our batting the last 15 overs but then know they were trying to set it all up for the kill tomorrow

3 highlights today, Husseys catch and 2nd slip, Wades catch where he chased a top edge for about 30 metres dived and took it and Warners innings

He would of made it with the misfield but there was no way for Cowan to have known the fielder would have misfielded it, had the fielder collected it first time Hughes was still dead in the water and that's what Cowan has to think will happen.

SL 156 [43.4]
AU 3/150 [39]
Im not a fan of rotation , but it worked today

Watto 13* [44]
Best number 5 batsman in the world 20 *[46]
Both batters dropped b4 reaching 10 runs today

Watto needs to add 14 more runs to his total on day 2
IF he gets to 27 , his Test average at the MCG will be 100
Jayawardene should bowl Herath at Watto first over tomorrow

In not a big fan of Mitch Johnson and not alot has seemed to change between his best and worse balls, but you would have to say with the last two chances his been given he has definatly taking them.

The best thing about Mitch is also his worst, he always looks like he get a wicket but he also always looks like he could go for runs and heavy runs.

He has to go to England and India IMO because we desperately need his wicket taking ability.

Reckon there is only room for 1 of Starc and MJ in the squad

I am annoyed how Cowan got out soon after the run out. Hughes should have run but Cowan should have made sure Watson was settled before he sticks the bat out to a wide'ish delivery.
