The same thing is ongoing with Blesing who West think is worth big $ but he isn't a "league regular".

West have a fine to pay, the Eagles ain't gunna pay it for West, thats why they have put an unrealalistic price on his head, they ought to be thankful the Eagles are willing to pay for him because he ain't gunna play for west. He would not be a first 21 for the Eagles so why pay over the odds.

A real lack of former AFL players moving to the SANFL this year, especially quality players except Travis Tuck.

Tuck would have played more games and would still be on a AFL list without the problems he had.

TSG, was thinking of players not returning back to the SANFL.

Had some real quality players come to the SANFL in the past couple of years...Batsanis, Cachia, Brad Fisher, Joel Tippet, Collier, Eddy (not that he played his best footy here),Currie just to name a few.

True and how many times did Holden78 mention about a quality midfielder going to the Eagles from West ;)

How do you know this years crop of ex AFL players won't be any good except for you beloved Tuck who gets by on name only to be fair? We have no idea how our ex AFL guys will do - Gordon will be a very handy midfield addition and watch out re Archer - he is a big unit and a like for like replacement for Alleway - who incidentially was a former AFL listed player when he signed for North in 2006 but prior to him actually playing would not have been tagged as "quality ex AFL"!

You mentioned Currie who spent 5 years on the Swans list and never played an AFL League game. He turned out to be a real gain for North and hopefully goes on to a good AFL career but you could hardly call him quality prior to start of 2012. As for most of the others you mentioned (as quoted) none of them came with "quality" as a tag re being ex AFL.

I can't believe you allowed yourself to post that rubbish yet include your own teams recruit on name only?

OTR, just my opinion and where did I say they will be no good?. You look into posts way too deep at times. IMO all the North recruits will be superstars ;)

There seems more players moving between SANFL clubs this year than interstate recruits coming over probably due to the hard times most SANFL clubs are facing.

Perhaps I shouldnt have mentioned Currie but I know before he signed with North that West and 3 other clubs were chasing his signature so I had heard a fair bit about him before he came here.

Is that not a reasonable comment regarding Tuck? Had he gone to any SANFL club I would have mentioned his name in the same way. If I was only thinking West recruits are the only guns coming across I would have mentioned Mangan also (he is another lesser name recruit).

Fair rebuttal their Brodlach but re Currie - he was a 6-7 ruckman and as in the case of Cam Wood - any ruckman who is delisted by an AFL club is going to be heavily courted by a myriad of non AFL clubs and as we can see from the SANFL - ruckman do not grow on trees!
