It is a football, just slightly out of focus. The photo was taken at the Parade on 7 Aug 10 Norwood v North Adelaide The ball was bouncing towards the Southern goals and just happened that there was no player near the ball when the photo was taken. :D

If it was the West Adelaide GF running sheet it would be late out of the starting block ;)

So like we said a year ago the rezoning was a waste of time and they'll need to do it all again for 2015.

I don't want the Eagles to have Port's zone, but we'll have to.

How will they redistribute?

Will Sturt get Eyre peninsula and some of their hills zone redistributed to South/West/Norwood?

Eagles possibly:
gain Port Adelaide, Alberton (south of Torrens Rd) & all suburbs west of the Port River
lose their current zone East of South Rd, current zone south of River Torrens, current zone north of Torrens Rd
keep north of River Torrens up to South Rd

North get Mawson Lakes and everything North-East of Torrens Road?

Central get prime real estate areas of Parafield Gardens and Paralowie.

Going to be messy. Obviously they just can't divide Port's zone by 8. Clubs won't want to lose current zones they've worked hard in to gain some Port Adelaide zone where most people there will go for the Power or Magpies still anyway.

Will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Yep will be messy ... started doing some prelim work on it last week.

North may well be the biggest club affected re change to their metro zone
followed by Eagles and Central.

Country will be interesting

Yeah, nice one. ;)

Actually "prime real estate areas" that've produced a one or two reasonable footballers over the years.

Anyway, you'd be right about Centrals picking up Paralowie (part or all thereof, along with Salisbury Downs), though I'd suspect Parafield Gardens would end up with North who, as I mentioned a few weeks ago and PhilH has just touched on, would probably see the biggest geographic shift in the metropolitan zone.

Like Aerie, I'm not real keen on getting much of Port's city zone. Not because there aren't decent players, but because it will be such a hard sell, and we (PhilH) has been doing good stuff over the last few years.

As far the country zone, having lived on the West Coast, my impressions are Sturt and maybe Centrals are the only two teams that would have any credibility.

Seeing as Sturt's current Club captain slipped through Port's grasp it would be a perfect opportunity for them....

And a 2002 premiership player, from the same town......
A while ago that I lived there, but it was in the AFL era, and Sturt seemed to have a large, latent supporter group (obviously way smaller than Port, but no other club really rated a mention).

Sturt would be 2nd in supporter numbers behind Port, which would have been boosted by a 1960's Premiership player also from the same town....
