It's record is pathetic for a lot longer than half a century. Between 1945 and 1963 in an 8 team comp the highest that South ever finished was 6th. Other than the late 30s, 1964-66 and to a lesser extent under Bunton and John Reid they have been a basket case since the start of the last century.

It won't stop some of their better players wanting out to other clubs or back home and it won't stop local clubs offering top $ with little training required unlike a SANFL League team!

It's a traditional comp with traditional zones..... leave it alone ffs!

Not quite. Some clubs quit when it got hard which changed the landscape. Another club relocated 30km's for the good of the comp.

Where can a final copy of the actual zones be found? I would have thought they would be public information on the SANFL website

Yes but if another club was 10 minutes up the road, would they bother?

For three years we've been nurturing this crop of Under 15's, a group of kids that are now excited to be Sturt players, now overnight we're forced to tell ten of them, sorry you're now South Adelaide players, a club they've had absolutely no connection with whatsoever.
