The Climate Commission analysis is based on an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) "Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation (SREX). This report brings together the latest findings on the relationship between climate change and extreme events, and their implications for societal development. The report was prepared by 220 authors from around the world (including three Australians), and took four years to complete. It has undergone an exhaustive review process, and is an authoritative statement from the IPCC".The Sleeping Giant wrote:Climate institute. Climate Commission. Who are these people you keep linking too? Where is the evidence?
The Climate Institute Report "gathers research on the physical impacts and consequences of climate change on major infrastructure across the property, electricity, road and rail and finance sectors. It examines the preparedness of businesses and governments to manage these risks and the steps needed to improve Australia’s climate readiness". There is an extensive list of references within the report.
