It's time to revoke the right to bear arms in the 2nd Amendment ...

The right to bear arms IS the 2nd amendment.
The problem is that Americans think they can solve their problems by shooting anyone.
The right to protect yourself is covered by the 2nd amendment, the right to attack, isn't.
And repealing the 2nd amendment won't, physically, remove the guns from society.
The best thing to do would be to invent a time machine and go back to 1791(when the amendment was passed IIRC) and show the founding fathers what the consequences of this
would be.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

I know if you are travelling for work you are covered the whole time you are away from home, why should while having a bit of nookie be any different to any other time of the day?

i dont think having sex in the motel room is really covered in the work place agreement whether it is traveling for work or at home. Yes, they cant stop you doing this whilst away, but why should the work place pay if you get injured during it ....maybe i am wrong, but 99% of people agree with me on this article.

Agree Bully absolutely crazy.
What about if I got food poisoning from a restaurant I chose on the night? How about if I was staying away at a private residence with people I knew where I'd eaten 100 times before and got food poisoning from their food preparation? Or even if I helped prepare the meal?

It was because her workplace encouraged her to stay at that particular hotel, and it was because the fitting came down and hit her. Doesnt matter what you're doing, as long as its not an unreasonable or illegal thing.

Still fail to see how that is the responsibility of the employer, as they would have entered into the transaction with the hotel in good faith, unless the employer knew the hotel was unsatisfactory beforehand, and if that's the case, why was it still open?

so you are telling me - a employee goes off on a work trip. They are trying to light a smoke, the lighter falls on the ground onto say a newspaper or a highly flamible item, it catches fire, burns the place down, and this should be the employers fault???

What this person was doing in this example is not illegal as lighting a smoke is not against the law........Maybe a bit over the top yes.

But this employee was having sex odviously, i just dont see how it is the employers fault that the sex was rough which caused the incident DURING THE ACTIVITY, and damage was caused because of it. I am an employee not an employer dont get me wroong, but i think this is a little over the top....maybe employers should say - when you have sex away on the trip we are sending you on, make sure it is not rough incase you get injured and sue us ;)

When I was working FIFO my company had to take responsibility for me up until I got off the plane in Adelaide. If something had happen to me when I was in perth waiting for my flight to Adelaide then they where liable. Know I could be wrong but the reason they had to take responsibility was because they where the ones paying for my flights.

Makes sense technically you are still 'at work' because they were paying for the flights

It is he way Workers' Comp law is.
I saw a guy some years ago who lost an eye on his way to work.
He had stopped to help a mate who had a flat battery as he was driving to work.
He connected the jumper leads incorrectly and the battery blew up in his face.

He stopped of his own choice and he made the error with the leads, but as the law stood none of that mattered.
I don't think the law has been changed.
