Just heard that brahma might not be able to get the pitch up for the weekend.

Bit odd considering it rained all day last year during the day of our T20 game, and they managed to get a pitch up after the sprinklers were left on overnight last year in a final. Will be interesting to see what happens!

That sounds like a very thinly veiled assertion that it would be somehow in the best interests of Brahma Lodge not to get the game underway tomorrow?

How could not playing be in the best interests of the team currently sitting bottom of the ladder?

Week 1 of a 2 game isn't it? Reduces the risk of outright if day 1 is washed out ;)

Idiot. No idea of the circumstances of last year or today, and you actually know something, you should just zip it shut, as you making yourself look very silly.

Sprinklers were not left on last year in the final. A small patch in the outfield about 30 metres from the wicket at cover came on Sunday morning. Not pitch sprinklers but outfield sprinklers, that had been set up by the council and not turned off. The council did apologise to both teams by letter is my information.

The wicket at Brahma was far too wet to prepare today. Ask a former skipper of your club, and club great, who was there and saw it under water and furthermore agreed it was impossible to prepare. Can send or post photos as well, so that others can also see. That will certainly end all discussion on the matter.

Until you are informed or have some idea of what you are talking about. the best idea would be to zip it and say nothing. Stop embarrassing yourself any further.

Idiot. No idea of the circumstances of last year or today, and you should just zip it shut, as you making yourself look even sillier than normal.

Not pitch sprinklers but outfield sprinklers, that had been set up by the council and not turned off. The council did apologise to both teams, but you did not get an apology, to tell you what went on. Will ensure you get a copy next time, so you can be more informed and at least have some idea of what you are talking about.

Couple of things.. 1st of all, I am well aware of what happened last year during the finals... However, the fact remains that the playing conditions were changed overnight and port districts had every right to put a complaint in, and if they did they would have been playing us tomorrow as apposed to you.

2nd ... I was there during the day last year and saw the pitch under water for a T20 game brahma needed to win to advance and they got the pitch up fine... That night. Sure it won't be too hard for you to get a pitch up. Then we can let the game speak for itself I guess.

Interesting to note the other posts on this topic got deleted?

Which Mod plays for Goodwood then? haha.

Anyway TP, What's the deck like down at Reynella this week? Do you think you guys will get away?

I didnt realise that trader....hmmm seems someone is a little embarrased maybe?
In the spirit of the game we played goodwood in a one dayer and got our pants pulled down, so we missed out on heaps of points.

Deck was pretty hard this morning but its now pissing down so not sure how its gonna come up now.

Nice move re the 1-dayer always enjoy playing you guys, seem to be a good bunch.

Rain stopped shortly after midday, and it's fairly windy. With only 10% chance of rain tonight and 40% tomorrow, how do you like your chances of getting the deck up tomorrow? Having said that, 6.8mm on a friday is never a good sign!

Apart from causing more damage... what will using that achieve?

It's quite convenient to blame the rain isn't it. Would be interesting to see if other grounds in the area get a game.
