Banner certainly is a Victorian lad. He comes from West Melton which is an outer western suburb a fair way out from Melbourne.

He has bought a house here, so I wonder if that would have an influence on whether he stayed or not.

No, I only know a lot about him because when he and Jackson Trengove came to Adelaide they boarded with people that I know very well. Banner seemed a very nice lad, but unfortunately he didn't have the necessary pace to make it at AFL level given his lack of height and the lack of pace seemed to be a problem even at SANFL level.

Losing Jeremy Clayton and Callum Wilson would free up some coin, as with Mark Dolling. Still, lost more quality than we've gained so far
