last in 2012 for c1 so we will promote them even though their roster is made up of alot of army lads who are not available week in week out
over a 100 years of history for a little club but wait,we have a new club of uni lads who we believe may be around alot longer so we will put them in down in div 8 and stuff it put ovies up

I agree, if Ovingham are forced to play in Div 7, it will be nothing more than a % booster for other teams, and their club will struggle and buckle under the strain.
I'm led to believe less army lads involved this year, more locals who are on board, but with Kilburn & Fitzroy within spitting distance it's very hard to attract high calibre players.
Ovingham in div 7 will be the slow death of the club...

I tend to agree with you both. How has it gone from UniSA playing Div 7 and Ovies playing Div 7R to UniSA in Div 8 and Ovies in Div 7? I for one was not against both clubs playing in Div 7 with one playing as 7R but for it to be changed to what it has will kill one if not both clubs. Why dont they both go to Div 8 with one playing 8 and the other 8R and just have a bye in Div 7?

I heard there was a draft draw for next season floating around?
Would this mean the teams are pretty well finalized?
Ovingham to face Ingle Farm at Rowe Park in round 1..
