But Koch, who spoke passionately about a new beginning, said the Power was not alone in struggling to make ends meet.

He said the club's initial report of a loss of $2.1 million - after grants from the AFL and the SANFL had softened the blow - gave a better guide to the club's affairs.

The TV identity and financial expert did not - and could not - dispute The Advertiser's figure of a $6 million-plus operating loss in yesterday's edition, except for questioning what should be considered a grant and what should be considered an entitled revenue.

But of course you realise that this article contains no quotes and has already been refuted by both the chairman and the CEO right?

yep, they are right and feldstadt is completely and utterly deluded and made it all up.

No way!

The Advertiser are pillars of journalistic integrity and would never make something like this up after being fully briefed by the club.

That is the general consensus in the other thread about The Advertiser isn't it?

There's been Puff Piece after Puff Piece appearing in the Crapvertiser over the past fortnight as the Corporation tries to rebuild it's brand. From Dangerfield's cat, to Sando's Russian Bride, there's been school visits and even the Crows masquerading as their Foundation.

Finally the rag decided it must run something to demonstrate it is a hard hitting daily. So who do they target? Port Adelaide.

Goes to prove, 2 things sell media in this town, good news about The Crows, and bad news about Port Adelaide

LOL once again Port supporters blaming everything else.

The reason this has got published is that the SANFL club CEO's are fuming as this is exactly why they voted no originally to the one club. It was only after they were assured these type deals wouldnt go ahead that the vote changed.

Port continuing to bite the hand.........unfortunalty the next time they will need the other SANFL clubs support will be when their about to fold and there will be no support in sight.

Already one CEO is refusing to clear any of their players to the Magpies in the near future.

From the Czech Republic apparently, but in any case, your being disrespectful.

There have also been stories of West's salary cap woes, Sturt's financial battles, a prominent article just this week calling for Steven Trigg to step down. It's not all one way traffic.

Some advantage. Where did we finish this year again? But apparently the one club making 12 GFs in a row is great for the competition

I fail to see how inviting a bunch of Magpies players to training is an unfair advantage nor how that would help in retaining them. Sounds like whinging for the sake of whinging.

And according to OUR CLUBS MANAGEMENT....there is nothing untoward that has happened, nothing that has broken any agreed upon contract and this has been confirmed by Chris Davies.

The problem now lies in the fact that whenever the Magpies recruit a player, or recruit a coach theres going to be incessant whinging from other clubs, whether its legitimate or not.

It doesn't matter what the PAFC does or doesn't do it will always be accused of being the anti-christ. I say to hell with it and act like it.

I'm acutely aware of what was said because I was there when it was said.

You and yours can prattle on about this amount or that amount till the cows come home. Fact remains, $1.6M is from the AFL equalization Fund and should not be included in any P&Ls because no other clubs do. The AFL gives it out and the AFL determines how it is spent.

If I were you I'd be more focused on the statement from the PAFC that they are well aware of all the "Baggage" being carried by the destructive, anonymous, "cowards and traitors" spewing forth their venom and misinformation.

C'mon mate. You know anything you post on here is considered an official statement from the PAFC and can only be seen as....."More lies and deception from Port Adelaide".....
