I see Pooraka hit 5 fa 490 odd yesterday, fair effort that

410 coming from 3 blokes.

Stoltsy batted all day for 204 or close to not out and apart from smashing one back to the bowler for a half chance, never looked like getting out. Nearly ran the big man out in the 3rd or 4th over of the day though. Would have been a shame but Rocco still managed to bring up his 100 with a monster shot down the ground. JJ took his 100 off about 50 balls.

Next week is the much anticipated match against Brahma! Can't wait.

The Great Man had a hit in the C Grade on the weekend is is cherry ripe for this Saturday's clash against the Collingwood of A2 (thats the one with the biggest budget )

That's If pooraka don't go into administration this week because of Stolcman who gets between 2.99 and 3.01 a run scored, been expensive recently, once again, back when I used to play, it was for the love of the game. Have heard on the grape vine that Ingle Farm had a few of their A Graders missing last Saturday due to that music festival at Bonython Park........Includes club coach

I for one would be really pissed off playing in that side knowing that your club coach wasn't playing due to this festival

If the coach is being paid, then he's not setting a brilliant example thats for certain!

Going to be quite a few stars playing some lower grade LO cricket this week by the sounds of things.

Yes our A Grade captain didnt play this game , was at steros for a brief period with his buisness ( spray on suncream). No one from the Agrade followed him to this festival. We had one out injured and one out for Football commitments. Good win anyway

I was under the impression that going from 12 teams to 10 in each grade would make the comp better. Certainly not happening in the A3's.
Way too many outright wins for my liking.
Having said that, we'll take 3 outrights in 4 games.....pretty weird!!!

That is because with your best side available most weeks last year, you would not be in A3 anyway..

Agreed, it's not surprising to see Reynella's A3 side doing a lot better and the LOD's struggling given the movement of players between the two.

I think that with so many teams moving about, it was gonna cause a bit of distance between some of the teams. I think next year it will sort itself out to a fair comp.

Not sure about the 2 day comp. But the difference this season is very noticeable in the LO comp.

I'm sure they will benefit from a bloke who bats at 7 averaging less than 10 and takes 1 wicket a game.

Come on Merki you can do better than that.
Have a look at the stats and you will see that his returns have been greater than what you are loosely suggesting.
If you are going to be critical of one why the man love for Matt Hargreaves?
The batting averages are pretty close and Shane can actually bowl.

Not really man love for Hargreaves. If you remember I actually said I don't rate him. I'm more interested as to why a premiership captain would be dropped the following year and then leave the club.

I'm sure Shane is quite handy at ten pin bowling, but he is average with the small red ball!! Take Sibbick and Tume out of that side, and they will struggle, massively!!

Pretty sure if you take your 2 best players out of any side that they will then struggle to an extent.

Trinity had one bloke who could bat alright, the rest looked pretty ordinary. Good to see the big Fella Pratty make 70 odd and Sibbick hit a couple into the houses. Good night but thought Brahma would've won by a bit more.

Don't think any mod plays for Goodwood.

Anyway the story the club got from the council groundsman was that it was too wet on Friday morning to continue preparing the pitch from the overnight rain. The square was water logged so he gave up.

Didn't ring any Goodwood people to let them know either and they all rolled up expecting to play just like the opposition.

I didnt realise that trader....hmmm seems someone is a little embarrased maybe?
In the spirit of the game we played goodwood in a one dayer and got our pants pulled down, so we missed out on heaps of points.

Deck was pretty hard this morning but its now pissing down so not sure how its gonna come up now.
