Is he worth 3 points? Or will they get an exemption for that?

I believe any player who moves to a town will attract the amount of points they are rated at.
once again an oversight by the board.They should know that country areas have floating populations and should have something in place for genuine change of address.
We all know that there could be some cases of" jobs for the boys" just to rort the system but surely genuine transfer of employment or family reasons could be catered for,even a minimum 1 point rating in such cases.
How would a family react if they moved to an Area with a couple of lads over 18 of A grade standard only to be told by the club you may not get a regular game in the A's because you attract 3 points each and we are at our limit.
wonder if wallaroo has any points for this bloke as i see they have signed a few,could be interesting?

I think there is a clause in there that if you move to another town within the same league you can be zero points for the new town, bit odd.

Considering the coach was staking out the moving van when the guy moved to Wallaroo and got very excited when a 6ft 8 guy got out of it, to the point where he had to take a minute and think of his grandma before approaching him. You can imagine the embarrassment that ensued once he actually spoke to the guy and found out he can play fooyball. Its fair to say that Wallaroo knew nothing of the move and therefore should be zero points especially since he has moved from interstate off his own back.

Doesn't matter if they knew or not. There is no contingency in the APPS about instances such as this. He should be, and probably will be, 3 points. Unfortunately.

Unless the YPFL have applied for a change to the APPS and had it approved by then CFL Board?

32.3 If an Affiliated League wishes to adopt a Player Points System:
32.3.1 It must submit its proposed Player Points System to the Community Football Manager for approval by the Board by not later than 30 November in the calendar year before the first Season in which it is to apply to that Affiliated League;
32.3.2 The proposed Player Points System must be based on the Guidelines set out in Appendix 4 to these Regulations as amended or varied by the Board from time to time or with such variation as the Board may approve.

Guess thats where they get the 3 points for a player transferring within the league too?

Don't forget to include former South Gawler captain Ronald Lee being recruited by Bute, very experienced campaigner and will be a great addition to the midfield rotations.

Hard inside mid and forward Tom Schlicker from Broadview is considering moving up to the copper coast for work and on the lookout for a club in 2013, Kadina, Wallaroo and Moonta look out, will be a great addition for a club like Moonta trying to cover the loss of the Salis Nth contingent or Wallaroo looking to push for finals wins in 2013!
