All the mens games scheduled for Sunday this week (with some cracking matchups), and the aesthetically pleasing Flinder girls team are scheduled to run the day... perhaps this will boost the ailing crowd numbers at Gaelic HQ?!

Tips (not the ones ill be giving to the bar staff come Sunday)

Mitchamgoats vs Na Fianna - could go either way, but ill go with the Goats purely thru their classy attacking mosquito brigade (Portlock, Gags, Klun) and also due to Na Fianna may not be used to playing in the daylight! Tho they may be boosted by the return of their best player in the league - unless St Nick plans to return to his junior club of St Brendans...

Onkas vs Port - Onkas, tho Port seem to work mainly on kicking goalskis so if Onkas arent switched on defensively they could be chasing the game early.

Taints vs Flinders - obviously ill go with the Taints, tho would certainly prefer to be taking on Flinders when Adelaide United have a home game!

Pretty sure he's scored more points off his own boot than Flinders have in their entire history!

Pretty average comment about a club that's older than you BB. I assume it's just a playful poke at Nev who doesn't mind the footy forum banter but some old timers from Flinders might not see the humour

Ita ok wristy they are still trying to think up excuses as to why they droppped a 10 point second half lead last Sunday....

As for mr jolly, will be a big boost for you guys and a very good player but not the best player in the comp in my opinion, but that is just my opinion

Looking forward to tomorrow afternoons games. We have a few outs but we will do our best! Onkas, na fianna and st brendans for me

Welcome Back "The Situation".....

Lets hope this is only the second big improvement to our comp with many more to follow. If we want to host Championships in 2014 we need a strong vibrant comp and we need the Mens, Womens and Minors to continue to evolve 8)

Not sure what is happening with Onkas at the moment. Been struggling to fill a 15 a side team most of the year. Not sure if it is injuries, guys not showing up or regulars who have left the game completely. Imagine it’s a combination of all 3.

Is only their first loss for the season but in the leadup to the X-mas break Onkas have Western Ireland, a GF rematch against Na Fianna (who by the sounds of it bounced back strongly) then face the Taints the week after. Will be interesting to see if they get a stronger squad out for these 3 big matches. Anto & Wade are both proud Onkas reps and I’m sure they will be doing everything to make sure this was just a 1 off.

Also well done to Ports. When we played them they lost their way a bit in the second half. Certainly good for the competition if they can stick together and continue improving and challenging for top 4.

I think it may have been 4 - 10 as a late header was ruled out. Maybe WW can clarify if you can or cant header a goal?

Was one of the craziest things ive seen at St Marys, deftly put away into the top corner, great stuff for the crowd!

Will be interesting to hear what Wristys says, as I was told recently by some of our Irish players that you COULD head goals, but I also vaguely recall hearing (possibly at the refs course) that headers ARE NOT part of Gaelic Football (headers seen as belonging to much to the very English soccer/football, so not a part of Gaelic Football). Much like 98% of the rules of Gaelic to me, it seems to be a (50 shades of) gray area!

Tho when you have the Div 2 finalists nodding in goalkis against the reigning Hannigan Cup winners, play on IMHO!

Big solid unit. Looked good last week v St. B...Hopefully him trg at Port means he cant kit up for todays big game v traditional rivals Na Fianna.

Todays game ahould be the closest game between these two clubs in years, should be a good contest with a lot of different match ups that may determine the outcome. There seem to be a lot of X factors in the Reds team this year and if they all turn it on they will be hard to stop. Obviously i,ll be doing my best to ensure that doesnt happen. May the best team win 8-[

Well, Port have gone from beating the reigning premiers to going down against the side on the bottom of the ladder by 13 points. A lot of changes, but still should have given a better effort.

Na fianna by 5 points over flinders in a tight, physical contest.

Always good to play in the flinders/na fianna derby

Good game, with plenty of pressure. Always enjoyable these contests. Probably the highest standard skills wise that i have seen these two compete in for a long long time. Whilst trying to have some humility the morning after i think its fair to say the better team won on the day 8)

Seemed to miss Pocock who is over with Katut in Bali. Also ya Mahney's, ya Rose's, ya Smitheram's n these types.

Smitheram is full of excuses at the moment. I think I'll have to drive around his house and rip him out of it for the next game.

Heard last night that Western Ireland knocked off Onkas last week? Would have to be the first time Onkas have lost 2 on the trot in a few years i would think? Certainly an even comp so far!

Also - can anyone confirm that the BBQ Van will be there on Friday night?? Pretty keen to do an ABSOLUTE NUMBER on myself after the Taints play in the early game...
