They may well remember that he dug the hole in the first place ... and based on some reports Trigg didn't fess up until the Chairman made him when he (Chapman) found out on October 13.

The fact that the Chairman wasn't aware of this before October 13 this year is staggering. Whilst the Board doesn't need to know about football operational matters, it certainly should be advised of any risk to the club's reputation or standing, and whether it was in risk of breaching AFL rules.

I wouldn't be surprised if they sack him, maybe with some justification.

It's hard to understand how his credibility could hold up after this. But if the AFC board was going to sack him you'd reckon they would have acted by now.

I heard that Trigg offered his resignation but it was turned down until the board met.
I can not see how he can continue on at all. If I was playing there and ended up in strife for a breach of conduct, then got put in front of the media along side of him to answer questions, I would be thinking, hang on, I broke a club rule by not getting to the motel prior to curfew, you cost the club $300,000, draft picks and a lot of embarrasment. Who is the bad boy here. Just can't see how having Trigg remain in the position would work for the club.

He gets a 6 month holiday where he cant be paid by the club and a $50k fine, whats the bet the boys club at West Lakes have arranged for an increase in his Salary of around $150k starting July 2013?

So Trigg gets off scott free and keeps his job, Tippett ends up the one who everyone hates but cant get his employer to cover the fine or his salary when he is suspended.
