Rnd 5

Belair V ICC- Sharks too good, Belair wont try chasing their total!
Keswick V Ramblers- Tough game, but ill back Keswick after beating ICC last game. Rusty, Bubbles & Macca hitting form.
Plympton V Sth Road- Sth Road easy! Plympton are struggling
Corro V Morphy- Only because its at home ill back Corro. Be another challenge for Morphy and could prove me wrong.
ANA V WYC- Well do we even have enough for a side this week lol. ANA have been really competitive so far. 2 narrow loses for ANA. Should always be a tough match. These games always go down to the wire. Ill back us, pretty obvious!
NH V Cove- Cove to continue on their merry way! Too big too strong!

Game of the Round!

Coverking my association side would be BASED ON CURRENT STATISTICS;

1 Krutli (wk) (C)
2 Thomas D.
3 Ledgard
4 Hopkins R.
5 MacKay
6 McCard
7 Rowe
8 Potts
9 Pomeroy
10 McDowall
11 O'Loughlin

12 Smith M.

I know the side is all-rounder friendly but most can be called upon to tie up one end or break a partnership.

This week's tips:

Belair v ICC. Belair will bounce back and register their first win. Portlock to make a few. Mangin 5 fa.
Keswick v Ramblers. Keswicks big guns seem to be firing. Rusty due for a ton. Despite my housemate making a duck I think Keswick will win easily.
PFCC v South Road. Muir and May will destroy the struggling Dogs. South Road OUTRIGHT.
Coro v Morphies. Tough one for us. Cove destroyed us last week but Max Cheek will continue his good form and have a blinder. Coro just.
ANA V WYC. Glenelg rely on too few. WYC easily.
North Haven v Cove. Cove by very long piece of string. Possibly two long pieces of string.

Unbeaten, with 2 bowlers in top 5 and still cant get a mention in assoc. game.
Obviously names get a mention before stats hey?
Written off, bunch of sledging losers, no culture, lost McCard, lost Thomas..... No hope.

If we get flogged this week I will look like a dill, wont I?

That is a very strong team, id swap Max Cheek for Jason Muir though. I played juniors with Jason and he is a quality bowler.

I bet Warradale were impressed to face a quality sect 1 cricketer in sect 6 today. What a farce. ICC have 6 teams, why choose him in the 6th?

It is what it is the lower grades sometimes. In Section 5 last year we copped Luders first game back from injury and thankfully he smart enough to know he would get blokes out pitching it up and didn't kill anyone.

This year we played Blesing from Coro Ramblers first game back for the year.

When blokes start the season late or come back from injury they can start off anywhere and you are either lucky it not against you or unlucky if it is. Both guys played the game in the right spirit and played the game in the right manner. However I notice the ICC bloke has played Section 1 this year so its interesting to drop 5 grades.

Some interesting results yesterday.
Sheidow in div 2 continue their dominance. Another outright looming (more than likely before tea). Looks like they got lucky and had one extra over though in the days play (unless my maths is wrong).

Ramblers fought back at the end of the day through their two quicks. Having Keswick 6/24 is pretty amazing at the end of the day. Shouldn't lose from there. Could possibly enforce the follow on as well.

Cove have absolutely smashed North Haven on day 1 after scoring just under 7 an over. Outright beckons. I would think they will declare once Darren Thomas gets to his 100.

ICC look to have Belair done and dusted with ledgard still in. Did Belair only have 10 there on day 1? They only had 9 there on day 2 against us. Must be struggling.

Coro and Morphys looks to be relatively close but can't see Morphys bowling the Coro boys out for 200 next week. Should be close though.

Plympton look to be struggling again needing 225 against South Road. Dare say South Road will win, although i think Pomeroy is playing 2nd week. Need a big innings from him, Naismith, Giersch and Pritchard

After a shocking start (losing a wicket on the 7th ball of the first over), we made 264 which was a bonus. D'Angelo and Toddy batted extremely well. Fiebs backed up his century with a good 45 and Pressy contributed as always. Extremely unlucky not to have Glenelg 1 fa at stumps. Will be a close game next week as always with Glenelg

there B grade went alright... saw one of the better hundreds i've seen in some time... they were 6/242 at 40 overs and declared at 8/300 odd... and have us 3/50 from 11 overs...
