Be odd if we lose the next test, as SA will win the series and Australia are the better team over the majority of play

Great effort by the Aussies, proud of them despite the draw!

Lyon has cemented himself as Australia's number 1 spinner.

Am I imagining things but didn't there use to be a rule that if there was a chance of a result they would play half an hour extra.

Toss will be crucial in Perth no way will the Aussies want to bowl again

Great test match overall, some great highlights both good and bad.

Think Australia probably batted for too long in the 2nd dig, perhaps to be over cautious so as not to lose.

Personally would have dangled a bit of a carrot and set them 380 for a win.

Strange as it seems probably the injury to Kallis helped S.A. draw today, if we had him in last night against the new ball one never knows.

Go to Perth 0/0 but have totally enjoyed the cricket these two sides have given us

We will kill them in Perth.
There is only one team trying to win this series, this is the most negative Saffer side to ever tour the country. They were playing for 0-0 since they arrived.
Great effort by Siddle, was basically are only frontline bowler for 3 days with Patto going doing and Hilf useless.
Real shame that Patto is out because now Hilf will get a few more tests

Agree about the negative saffers but surely there will be question marks over how the Aussie bowling attack backs up in Perth especially if they have to bowl first.

The 0-0 draw is looking great value!

aussies are $2.40 - they started the day around $1.15

get on the aussies, will be done and dusted in the first 20mins after tea break

what was the draw paying when South Africa were 4 for nothing?

Big wrap for Clarke and his captaincy, but reckon he missed a couple of tricks today.
Firstly Siddle bowling towards the end with five blokes from square leg round to mid-on and only one slip and no gully, despite getting the wicket on Steyn caught at mid-wicket.
Secondly, not giving Hussey a couple of overs in the middle session.
Thirdly, not bowling himself the third-to-last over when he would have been bowling to the tall lefthander Morkel and keep Siddle, despite his heroics, for the last over.
Easy to say in hindsight and being an armchair expert, but don't think this was his greatest day as captain.

Agree about their negative Jim, but Perth is probably the one place where they fancy their chances, espeically if Steyn can hit a bit of form, because they can just bowl four quicks and not have to think too much about the intracies of the game.
Hilf is bowling too much of the short-of-a-length sh!t he did against England a couple of years ago, not the good properly full or properly short stuff.
Some similarities to 92/93 against WI when we were better for most of the first four tests and then our batsmen were demoralised on the lst day in Adelaide and then had to bat first in Perth. Could a similar thing happen with our bowlers this time?

Well we will have one fresh bowler in Starc, is already talk that Lyon also wont play after around 100 over this test so we may go with a full pace attack, 4th quick is a lottery i guess if they go that way

Quiney will go for Watson you would think and be intersting to see what they do with Ponting, my guess is they will play him

Be nice to see the top order be 3/200 for a change as well but saying that 1 & 2 both have tons this series and we know what Clarke and Hussey have done, just a matter of everyone putting it together at once

we have been clearly the better side this series and with some luck could have well been 2 zip up
