even if they have a contract unless it has been submitted to SAAFL a club cant stop this player transfering, the league will over rule the denial. #:-s

Congratulations to GGFC junior Troy Menzel on being selected at selection 11 at last night's AFL draft! Best of luck at Carlton mate.
Here's hoping the knee holds up and you can show the whole nation what you are capable of with a Sherrin!

Happy birthday BB. Too old to run and play now ???
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Turns out to be great year for GG juniors with Justin Hoskin today joining Port Power with a rookie spot!
Well done mate

Only 3 years ago he ran around in our a-grade on Anzac day against Greenacres because he couldn't get a gig in the u/18's at Port

Some trivia for you BB, both Daniel (77 games) and Troy (44 games) both started their junior football at Eastern Park before moving to greener pastures at GGFC. You guys have a great junior program so it obviously has done both these lads well. Good luck to them both with their AFL careers.

And Justin Hoskin was a Salisbury junior before moving to GG ;)

Well done to all the clubs involved for developing these guys into AFL footballers.

*BUMP*
Congrats to GG boy Cam Shenton. Upgraded from the StKilda Rookie list today. Should debut against Sydney on Sunday.

I remember him starting out the year in out A-grade as an overages for Norwood's U/18's, not getting a gig. Was obviously too good for Div 4 football. Got his chance to play in the reserves against the state u/18's that year and impressed. Spent the rest of the year in the reserves at Norwood (might have cracked league, cant remember). Played the majority of the next season in the Norwood league side, played in the losing league GF. Rookie listed by St Kilda and now in the end of his 2nd year on the rookie list gets his crack at the big time!

Here's hoping he doesn't get the dreaded green vest!
