Rumour has it Ingle Farm started pre-season last night and not very positive results.. No new recruits, only 15 blokes turned up and of those 15 half a dozen turned up in some very very poor shape .. unless you call round a good shape

Session lacked any sort of intensity from the players and the effort was very poor..

Long season ahead for the Farmers I think.

The appointment of the C grade coach must have scared the players away.

I think so.. it seems that way either that or the players have taken on the C grade coaches diet and fitness program..

Gold Zedman. So Div 7 is a good fit then. Errrrrrr, sorry is it still november? Obviously those that need it the most are at least committed.

I understand the concept that the league wants Div 7 to be A grade clubs, but Adel Uni are in Div 6 ( a C grade team ) TTG have been placed in Div 6 ( a C grade team ) and Henley, Flinders Pk, Modbury and Shoc are all in Div 7 ( all C grade teams ) so that would mean finding 6 new clubs for that to be reality. The simple solution is to start UniSA in Div 8 and Ovingham as their Div 8 res team and give both clubs the chance to build their 2nd team. You build a solid house from the foundations not start 2 metres up.

I think Ovies would beat them

Uni SA may scrape a team together for round 1 but once half the fairys realise it is a contact sport they will go back to chess!!

Houghton Districts FC will be having a light training session this Thursday night from 6:30PM, followed by a BBQ and beers.

It's an opportunity for everyone to meet the new coaches, Tom Burgess and Sam Taylor.

New players are welcome to come and have a kick and a chat.

it goes ahead in 2013 Unisa & ovingham play div 7

in 2014 unisa get enough players to field 2 sides, ovingham get spit back out to C1 div, then those from ovingham still wishing they could play in div 7 leave ovingham and join unisa too

ovingham inevitably fold due to being unable to field a side

this is the slow death of ovingham folks
